Stretch mark blues ?

Anyone else feeling horrible about their stretch marks ? Losing confidence fast, and I know people are gonna say it's part of pregnancy and I earned them but I'm not feeling so confident around my boyfriend or even myself .. Am I the only one ?

Re: Stretch mark blues ?

  • I'm sorry honey! I know they can get you down, but they really will end up being such a minor sacrifice, and they fade in time. Try to keep your head up mama :-)

  • I've got old ones from growth spurts, they are barely noticeable! These ones will also fade!
  • I know what you mean. Mine aRe horrible! I think what's most upsetting was that I have been using coconut oil and stretch mark lotion everyday since 7 weeks and I still have them. Everyone makes it sound like if you start prevention early you won't get them. But from what I've read it all just depends on your genetics and skin type.

No matter what anybody says about "you've earned them" I just wanna say shut up to. All in all stretch marks just suck. I can't even wear a white shirt without having to wear an undershirt because the stretch marks just shine through
  • I have new ones on my inner thighs and I hate them! I've been lathering my stomach with cocoa butter and bio oil and luckily don't have any there. All of my weight gain has gone to my legs so they're huge and covered in cellulite. I'm not surprised I got stretch marks on my thighs.

  • Nice to know I'm not the only one feeling down about their stretch marks! I am hoping they will fade somewhat but the reason it sucks so much is because I really don't think they will
  • I have my old ones from last pregnancy on both hips. They are becoming more noticable. Last night I noticed one new red one on my hip and then one on the front of my belly. I was hoping not to get any on the front since I didn't last time. :(

Girllll.... I only have 2 small ones on my stomach but my hips and thighs are pretty bad (between us i even noticed some forming behind my knees!!! Yikes!). The only thing that bothers me really is the bright red color! I've noticed with my stretch marks from puberty though that they fade to be barely noticeable, so I honestly just cover them for now and try to forget about them lol.

Also, when I tell my fiance "crap I'm getting another stretch mark!" He's like "yeah... It doesn't matter they'll fade." And he's right! It SUCKS for now but they'll fade! And we're in good company, as many as 90% of women who have children get stretch marks during pregnancy. That's including my mom, and you'd have never known she ever got them a year after having me, she was in a bikini and looked AMAZING after gaining 50lbs with me and getting stretch marks EVERYWHERE (she lost all the weight and the stretch marks faded within 7 months of having me). There's hope! They don't stay this bad ladies, it's just temporary.
  • @BeachBabe22 I'm in the same boat. My belly is cute and stretch mark free but my thighs look like a tiger's chew toy. My legs and butt BLEW UP.
  • It is upsetting when they show up, but they really will fade especially if you are taking good care of your skin. I have them on my boobs, butt and hips from puberty and you can hardly see them anymore, but I remember when they appeared and how gross it made me feel. I haven't got them yet from pregnancy, but I am expecting them to appear any day.

  • I've had stretch marks on my breast, hips and up to my sides since pubert. Now they're on one of my inner thighs and my stomach.
  • I only have one on my belly so far, but my hips and butt are covered! I know they'll fade eventually, but I feel so gross right now!
  • I have them bad on my hips and boobs from puberty, but they're faded and don't bother me anymore. None on the belly yet!
  • Just remember that there are so many women out there who would do anything for a few stretch marks if it meant they could carry a child. Our society puts so much emphasis on superficial beauty! You are carrying one of life's greatest miracles! Be proud of them.
