    1. Caroline from Arizona

    2. TTC #1 and this is only the second month trying.

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Not much, thought this month was a wash because hubby was really sick for a few weeks but got BD in a few times. This is CD27

    4. Where are you in your cycle? I guess 2WW and wouldn't think much of it this month except having breast soreness so I'll test around the 18th as my best guess since I haven't temped or charted or anything.

    5. Im not too optimistic but still hopeful :)

QOTW: France! I love French and have tried to learn it on and off for years so what would be better than complete immersion?
  • 1. suziq1978, central IL

    2. TTC#4, 10 or 11 cycles

    3. temping, charting.  cd 17.  thought i o'd but temp didn't stay up

    4. I think I'm still waiting to o.

    5. Hopeful as this is probably my last cycle trying.

QOTW: If you had the opportunity to live in another country for a year, where would it be?  I would probably go to England.  I have always loved it.  I should have been born there a long time ago.  :)

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs

  • Hi ladies!!

    1. Jill from NC

    2. TTC #1

    3. Still doing everything natural: temping, OPKs, lots and lots of vitamins, exercise, reduced carbs/sugars, increased protein, trying to not stress :-) The only thing different this cycle is my Vitex intake. I read that taking a high dose of Vitex (natural supplement to help regulate hormones) on days 3-9 can help stimulate early ovulation (like a natural version of Clomid). Not sure how much I believe in it but I've been taking Vitex for many months now, but all cycle long. So I figured why not give it a shot?

    4. CD 14, waiting to O...

    5. Feeling hopeful for an early ovulation as the OPKs started flashing on CD12 (they've never flashed that early before!). Still waiting for the LH surge but have been having a TON of EWCM. I often get EWCM on and off all cycle but last cycle I got a lot before O so am hoping this is a good sign this cycle. Really hoping I can O before CD 20 as I hate all the waiting.

I would love to live somewhere in Central or South America. I love speaking Spanish and the climate there is just wonderful.

    Good luck to everyone!!

    2. TTC #1 since April
    3. OPK's and temping. This will be my first full cycle of temping, so hopefully it will help with timing.
    4. CD5. AF arrived just in time to join DH and I on our relaxing weekend getaway. Sigh...
    5. Hopeful, as usual. From the early predictions this may be a good month...we tend to be overscheduled and have trouble with having time to BD on the appropriate days, but if FF is to be believed, we might have a chance this cycle.

I think I would live in Ireland. For pretty much the same reasons I love living in OR...I love green and rain and gloomy weather and cold. Plus I knit, and being around all those sheep would be just too much!

  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from. Kirsten from Southern Ca.

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.? TTC #2 for me, #1 for H for over 4 years now.

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? Temping, Prenatals, Vit D, H and I really need to do the deed more often....we have been slacking! lol. Although technically we are self benched right now due to an upcoming trip to Maui in February. I though H bought our flight tickets but turns out he has not....and has brought up babies. Maybe he is waiting to confirm we wont be PG.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Honestly...I have no clue. FF said i ovulated. On CD11. My norm is CD18/19. FF did this last month and it did end up with me O'ing on CD 18 after all. I suspected it was wrong last month....this month I'm not so sure because if my elevated temps. My LP is always 14 days though so we will see if AF comes next week....then FF was right. if so, we did the deed the day AFTER ovulation :( We seem to do that A LOT! So as of right now I am CD17 and 6DPO. I don't test....i wait for AF.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) meh.....

QOTW: If you had the opportunity to live in another country for a year, where would it be? Feel free to add any vents or shout outs. Italy. Never been but i have a friend who spent the summer there and the photos and her posts on FB make it look wonderful!

TTC for two months #3 for me #1 for DH
Tracking my cycle, checking CM, lots of baby dancing
CD 16 I plan on testing on Father's Day morning, the day before AF is due
    (Rant: proceed with caution)
Honestly, I have tried to relax this time around, but life is throwing me some major curve balls. Trying to buy a house so we can grow and so that my teenage son who is battling cancer will be more comfortable. We were supposed to close Friday. Red tape is making that impossible. Hopefully it will happen next week. Feels a bit overwhelming at the moment. But I am trying to stay strong and hopeful and keep our dreams alive. New home, new baby, health restored to my son-it's not too much to ask is it?
One year anywhere else? I think I would like to live in the southern part of Ireland.
  •  1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
    Kathleen in GA

     2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
    TTC#1, cycle 3.

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Medicated IUI with RE.  I finished my round of femara, had a shot of menopur, and ultrasound today showed one big egg and one average. I'm going to take cetrorelix for a couple days, trigger Saturday morning, and IUI Sunday morning, unless my blood test shows that my LH surge is starting.  Waiting to hear, and trying to figure out how to get to the specialty pharmacy this afternoon.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
    WTO

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Emotions are careening about wildly!  Hopeful, though-- maybe third time will be my charm!

QOTW: If you had the opportunity to live in another country for a year, where would it be?
That's hard-- there are so many places!  I'll say the islands of Greece.
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

    2. TTC #1 since January. (BFP Feb, D&C Apr)

    3. Charting/temping, opk

    4. I was due for AF yesterday or today, but my temp went up yesterday. It was dropping just as it should and then everything went haywire. Not sure when to expect AF. Definitely not pg, though. Had leftover hcg this month.

    5. I want this cycle over already so I can try for real.

QOTW: I'd definitely choose Ireland. My husband is from there. We wish we could spend summers there, but between work and finances, that's not possible.

9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)

    2. TTC#2 just met with RE and have begun testing.

    3. Nothing for this cycle. Waiting one more cycle per OB before TTC again.

    4. No idea where I am since D&C 3 weeks ago. I will start tracking again after I get AF which could be 3 more weeks from what I was told.

    5. No feeling about this cycle but looking forward to getting back on since the loss. I am finally feeling back to old self.

QOTW: If you had the opportunity to live in another country for a year, where would it be? I would probably choose Spain. I've always wanted to go and would love to see if my grandmother still has any family there.

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
    6+ months, TTC #2

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
I've been a little off track this month because of some family crises.  Was temping, but stopped mid-way through.  I am OPKing.Trying not to feel pressured tho, because my Dr has talked about the option of going on Clomid next month if things don't work out this month.  I'd like to avoid that if possible, but also feel like time is ticking.  Sigh.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
Waiting to O- should be in the next few days.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Eh- I feel a little emotionally raw from all of the family stress, so not feeling hopeful in general.  Hoping for good results this month, though, because I'm not sure how I feel about going on Clomid.

QOTW: If you had the opportunity to live in another country for a year, where would it be? Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
My husband wants us to move to Germany (he's a citizen) but I'm not sure Germany  is my top pick.  I haven't ever been there, though, so I'm sure it's great.  If it were up to me, I'd probably go with Italy.  Or Ireland, which I also loved.

    3. Seeing a RE. Blood work is done, saline ultrasound done. Waiting for my next cycle to have a hysteroscopy to look at scar tissue from my previous csection and my uterine wall
    4. About to ovulate, OPK's
    5. A little depressed to have to wait another month to have the hysteroscopy and I'm not sure how long after then. Of course I want it to happen now! About to turn 40 this weekend and feeling like my clock is ticking

QOTW- Italy or Provence. So beautiful, peaceful and relaxing!!

     2. TTC#2 for 14 months
     3. All natural now after RE for 3 months and then a break in May - Vitex, PNV's, Metformin, trying to chart more (using FF and now Glow)
     4. 2ww  cd 14 1dpo??  not using opks and haven't temped hardly at all this month
     5. I'm always hopeful, but also realistic.  We only had one opportunity because of travel to BD and it was probably O-3.  It's possible but not likely.

QOTW: I'd love to live in Central America!

VENTS/SHOUT OUTS -  I should probably do a re intro after leaving here for the 'other site'.  I had a really awful experience there.  If you want to know - inbox me.  Otherwise, I think I'll seek refuge with you ladies if you'll have me.  I solemnly vow to save the drama for my mama.

@jilligan14 - I am absolutely fascinated in this upping Vitex dose on CD3-9.  I was actually considering not taking it through my whole cycle.  This is my first month taking it and I just seem to have sore breasts all the time.  Thanks for that tip - I'm googling it right away.

    Good luck to all!

  • @happyktmom - I've spent a lot of time googling Vitex and there are so many women who claim that it helped regulate their periods and so on. I've been taking it for months now but haven't really noticed anything different (my periods and O-day are still very irregular). I was about to give up on it when I saw the posts about upping the dose, including something from a naturopathic doctor (I think) who recommended using it like Clomid, from cycle days 3-9. It's safer than Clomid since it's all natural and the stuff I read had a lot of positive testimonies. But again, tons of natural stuff is on the internet and of course not all of it really works. Either way, I figured there was no harm in trying. I'll keep you posted if I do end up O-ing earlier than usual this cycle. And let me know if you find out anything more about it. Good luck!

  • @jilligan14 @happyktmom I was using the liquid vitex tablets from whole foods for a few months and I believe it helped my cycle. I took it all month long and I believe it lengthened my luteal phase and I O'd sooner. I was O'ing on cd19 with a regular 28-30 day cycle. I started O'ing on cd15 and cd16. In fairness I never tempt'd, just used OPK's plus I can feel when I start ovulating. But I will say between the vitex and b complex100 I felt as though it made a difference. In March I was using progesterone cream (also from whole foods) from O until cycle started and I got a strong BFP at 12dpo. Unfortunately we lost the baby at 9.5 weeks but I strongly believe all or some of what I did helped. Now I'm seeing an RE and haven't restarted my holistic approach yet since I am giving my body and mind a break but will be very soon.

@emsmama15, it's funny (or, not really) because my doctor was all very casual about it.  She said just to call and get a prescription if I want to try it.  I asked her about side effects, etc, but she didn't mention any monitoring, which I knew others here had talked about as important.  To be honest, I'm not sure I'm ready to go that route.  I am anxious to get pregnant, but prefer not to use meds, if possible.  Anyway, I really love my doctor, but am wondering if OBGYNs are just more loose about this stuff, and if REs know more about the ins and outs (umm, no pun intended?)?

  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
    FemShep, MA

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
    TTC #3, 3rd cycle post m/c

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Charting, temping, OPKs, PNVs, CoQ-10, baby aspirin

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
CD 12.  After 5 days of EWCM, got a +OPK today!  Wooo! :)

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
My cycles have not been very consistent after my m/c, and I'm hopeful that the +OPK and great EWCM might be good luck.  I need it-I've been all over the map emotionally this week.

QOTW: If you had the opportunity to live in another country for a year, where would it be? Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
I would love to live in any European country.  Sign me up!

Well, when I did see an RE back in Dec 2013, he prescribed Clomid to me and didn't mention anything about side effects or monitoring. I was afraid to take it just because I don't like regular drugs (I always seem to get all of the side effects) and instead looked into natural methods. I haven't been able to go back to the RE due to financial reasons but my obgyn tried prescribing it as well, again without any mention of side effects or monitoring. Sadly, I think there are many docs out there who are very casual about that drug.

  • I'm back!
CD1 today. We BD while on vacation but missed O day so here I am.... on to TTC cycle #2 and am feeling discouraged already :( Must be AF that's putting me in a bad mood.

@jilligan14 - I am also taking Vitex this cycle and will give your suggestions a try! I have rather regular periods but have a feeling that my LP could and should be a little longer.

QOTW: I'd like to live on a tropical island for a year and see how I like it.

  • @Tomerine and @jilligan14, I'd agree that there are many doctors who are very casual about Clomid - though I'm kind of surprised a RE was!!  My OB would have offered me Clomid if she hadn't gotten a letter from my RE saying he'd never give it to me again since it thinned my lining big time.  And I love my OB too.  I'm glad I wasn't in the position of having to tell her NO WAY! :)

    *** Child & current pregnancy mentioned ***
    Me - 41 (PCOS), Hubby - 43 (healthy)
7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)

First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)
