Wondering if anyone experienced this. I went 2 weeks early with my first daughter at 38 weeks. Water broke on its own, went into labor naturally, got foley bulb to dilate, got low levels of pitocin due to contractions getting further apart, delivered vaginally at 24 hours because I dilated very slowly, success thank God! Now with my second daughter I am due today and they want to induce me at 41 weeks exactly. I have heard that waiting closer to 42 does come with some risk but that the risk is not too high if baby and you are healthy. I really want to avoid a C-Section ....any advice or knowledge on those who decided to wait a little longer or had a simiilar scenerio????
Re: For second time plus Moms...Induce at 41 weeks or wait until closer to 42?
For myself, I would not consent to an induction without evidence that it was needed (and thus that risks were going up for me vs. statistics about others, which as you point out still are very marginal). You can request non-stress tests to help you assess.
