Cramping

Stm here. I remember cramping is normal but how much? I feel like full swing period cramps. Ouuuuch!

Mom of one adorable little boy and excited to do this again.

Re: Cramping

  • I think as long as there's no blood not to worry. But even a little bit of spotting is ok. Although FTM here and if I was experiencing the spotting, I'd be freaking the f*** out

  • I feel like the cramps are way worse way earlier this time. A plus, my boobs don't hurt (yet) - which is awesome, since they just stopped hurting from weaning.

If I recall, you should be able to hold a conversation at a normal cadence - if they're worse than that, then you definitely need to call the doc. Spotting is typically okay as long as it is brown (not pink or red).

  • I'm lurking from D15 (sorry!) But I had terrible cramps until week 8. In fact before I got my BFP I was sure the period from hell was about to come. I couldn't even stand up straight or talk. The day I had my first US (at 7 weeks) I had to have help getting out of the car lol buy I'm 11.5 weeks now and baby is extremely healthy and moving around like crazy on my scans. I wouldn't worry at all unless you have heavy bleeding (I also had brown spotting) that fills up a pad within an hour. My doctor was a little concerned at first with how bad my cramps were and had me come in for blood work a few weeks in a row to make sure my numbers were doubling but everything was great and she decided I was just stretching a bit faster than normal, and she was right because my uterus was already above my pelvic bone at 10.5 weeks which isn't supposed to happen until around 12 weeks so you just might be in the same boat especially since this is your second!
