Where there's smoke, there's fire?

How seriously do you take rumors of buyouts?

Our senior management is calling a recent article on a possible buyout just a rumor but still won't deny anything. Most of us are trying to continue normal work as usual, but there are some really negative people out there which doesn't help.
IVF, acupuncture, meditation and a miracle.

    Hmmmm Id tend to agree that where there is smoke there is fire. in my experience the Company will delay saying anything as long as possible to avoid people getting upset, but why would there be an article on it if there were not people in upper management having those kinds of discussions? :-(
