any advice on people talking completely ridiculous to your child. I get your voice might go high but my MIL literally sounds like a Disney character on crack. It's so bad. And I feel rude to say stop but it's so bad I can't take it!!!!

    We just told my MIL she sounded like her mother. That helped quite a bit, although she still uses the squeaky voice on occasion.

    I use a soothing slightly higher pitched voice when I talk to my baby, but I've never sounded like a Disney character on crack. I also refuse to "goo-goo ga-ga" my kids and I never let anyone else do it to them.
