Pump Options

So, I have done research and narrowed it down to 3 different pumps and I would love any input that you ladies can provide. ( I narrowed it down from around 15 options)
The things that are important to me are:  Closed System, Double Pump, Power Source (AC or Battery), variable expression.

1) Melodi Prime
2) Spectra 9 Plus
3) Madela Pump In Style Advanced.

I would love to hear thoughts, experiences, etc.

    I have your third option. I'm a FTM but I have opened and cleaned all the parts and it looks like it'll be great! I knew I needed a double pump because I am going back to work after 6 wks and need to be able to pump quickly a couple times a day, and the backpack it comes with will be nice to transport everything there compactly and back home easily! I did a lot of research and asked a lot of other women and my midwife and went with Medela because I can easily get parts or extras as needed from Walmart right down the road from our place.

    Also @katedewberry check with your insurance company and what they might cover... I got my pump and accessories completely free but they only offered a couple Medela models.

    Hi @thatgirlstef, thank you for your feedback.  The three listed are all from my insurance carriers (UHC) and will be covered 100%.  They gave me a list of the providers and from there, I had the option of about 15.  I am leaning toward the Melodi, but there isn't much information out there for it (in terms of reviews).  Logically, the Madela has the best reviews, but it isn't a closed system and that really bugs me... so I am still trying to sort it all out :)

    My insurance offered me 6 different options. I looked on Amazon and read the reviews for each and that helped me make my decision. I ended up with a Medela b/c it had a 4.5 star rating (all the others were 4 or below) and it was a more popular model, so I will be able to get spare parts at Walmart or Target locally and not have to wait for a piece to arrive via mail.
