My OB had me start iron 3 weeks ago and it has been so hard on my stomach! I've tried the extended release and Floridix (both with meals) but it still makes me nauseated/pained all day. Anyone have any tips!?! -they would be much appreciated!
I think if you take it with vitamin C it can help and don't take it with dairy. There are other foods to avoid eating it with so you could google that.

My doctor also told me to take iron with vitamin C. He recommended a glass of OJ.
I've been having to take extra iron as well.... some tips I have learned: 1. Do not take it at the same time as your prenatal. My doctor told me that I could, but it made me SO SICK. 2. Take it with some OJ, no dairy or caffeine. 3. Take it at night!
I agree with the previous, take it with some sort of vitamin c drink. I use Sunny D. Take it at a different time from your prenatal vitamin. The iron has oddly enough had a reverse effect on me so far, which I'm loving!
