Onezies -_-

This past weekend we have gotten what seems like a billion of them. Didn't realize it until I went to put them away yesterday and her drawers for them are filled they now have a space in the closet. I know everyone says oh you're gonna need them but we still have gift bags full. Lucky for us my sister is having a girl a few days after me. So she'll get some of those.

Re: Onezies -_-

  • Are they all different sizes? I didn't get a lot of baby clothes at my shower, but I have been buying stuff in newborn, 3 months, and 6 months.

  • I got tons of "clothes", but seriously lacking in the newborn and 0-3 mos onesies. On my to-buy list asap.
  • I got clothes ranging from zero to 24 months

You'll change her clothes about 3 times a day, sometimes even more, consider how often you're planning on doing laundry and that's how much clothes you'll need! Before giving them away, also, you'll probably need more 3m than NB clothes, because she'll use them longer. I'm having the same problem and I changed sizes for some of my gifts, I'm keeping 2NB outfits, 4NB onesies and 6NB of those that you put under their clothes, how do you call them? (Sorry, English is not my first language). I'm adding one or two of each for 3 and 6 months and adding another 3-4 for 9 and 12 months and from there you'll just need a lot of clothes!

I rarely had to change our DD more than once a day, if that (clothes, that is) and while onesies are great and a necessity, there is a point where it's over the top. I think we have about 10 in each size and that's it. We loved sleep and plays and others also mention gowns or tshirts so there are definitely other clothes you can use.

A girlfriend gave me 4 FULL garbage bags of clothes from NB- 12 months. I have clothes from DS that I feel are appropriate for a girl. Now I'm receiving clothes... All SO cute.

We have WAY too much clothes. Totally a first world problem.

  • That's what happened to us. People gave us clothes and we have a baby consignment shop called once upon a child here that I have become obsessed with.

OMG I just went to Once Upon a Child yesterday.... Fell. In. LOVE! Right now, I really do have a lot of clothes for my baby, but I WILL be shopping there frequently! Oh, and some of those clothes I'll never get to use will be sold or traded with them.
  • The day I went in there someone dropped off a brand new bassinet and baby swing that matched our baby's theme so to speak and by new I mean they didn't use them. So yes $65 dollars later they were ours.
