3rd Trimester

BH contractions

i have been having Braxton hicks for two days straight now. They are very frequent and very strong but are not consistent. Doc said to rest and hydrate and I should come in to be monitored, but I'm a full time working mother. Resting does not happen often. Anyone else have stressful or scary BH experiences? I think I just need moral support at this point.

Re: BH contractions

  • You have to try and find a way to rest. I had a 2.5 year old while I was pregnant and worked full time and I had way more BH's in my second pregnancy so I get what you are experiencing. Have your husband do more or find a way to get off your feet and relax as often as you can, it will help. This is your body telling you to take it easy :)

  • This is something I deal with too. Busy or not, baby comes first so that means you have to rest. And hydrate. There's a reason they tell you to do those things.
  • hydration!!! I always have them when I'm dehydrated. And, sometimes if I've been walking excessively and they start all I have to do is sit down for a few minutes, and they'll stop. Or, laying on my side.
