Gestational hypertension

Has/does anyone else have gestational hypertension. Was diagnosed Saturday with it and have been in bed rest. Has anyone has it and had to have a c-section or naturally?

    I had it they were going to induce but my water broke. Mine was caused by stress, a lot going on my last trimester but I was never put on bedrest. If you feel like its stress ask your ob to recheck your bp in the middle of your appt. During delivery your bp will go up anyways due to contractions so they will be more lenient about it. If it stays high continuously they may do a c section.

    I was diagnosed with it at 26 weeks. I've been on hypertensive meds which have controlled my readings. I've been doing weekly NSTs since 29 weeks and twice daily blood pressure checks. Beyond that, I just have to watch for signs and symptoms of pre-eclampsia. I might add that I had a home birth planned but was dropped by my midwife once I was diagnosed. No complications otherwise though and I'm 37w5d today

    How far along were you when you got induced? Did you have the baby naturally or c-section?

    I had a c section scheduled for 38 weeks (twins) but had high bp (6 times) at my 36 weeks 5 days appt. They moved my c section to 37 weeks.

    I've got 2 healthy twin babes home now.

    I have it. My due date is today. My cervix is closed completely. Baby is head down, but I'm not effaced. I'm scheduled on the 10th (tomorrow) for induction. We are going to go with Cervidil first. See how I progress. If I do, I'll get Pitocin. And then see how I progress. C-section is not planned at all, but it will depend on how everything works out if I will have no choice. Just wanted to share what is upcoming for me. Best of luck to you!

    My pre-eclampsia came on sudden and hard at 35 weeks. My BP was sky high at my weekly check up and they sent me straight to the hospital for overnight obervation. After my urine and blood tests came back, I was scheduled to be induced later that night. My son had a short stay in the NICU for nothing major and is healthy as can be now at 17 months.
