Very Frequent BHs with lower Abdominal pain

33 weeks today and I feel I am at yet another turning point. I have been getting BHs for some time now but I feel like they've stepped up their game. I am feeling more and more BH contractions, still irregular but at times very consistent. This morning for about an hour and a half I had them quite regularly and even had lower abdominal pain and back pain. Today it's better, but I'm still getting them periodically and some are painful. I am trying to drink more water than I normally do but man, does anyone else feel they have a ton of BHs, so much that it makes you think your going into preterm labor?

Re: Very Frequent BHs with lower Abdominal pain

  • Not me. Try changing positions. And keep drinking water. Hopefully they'll subside soon. Feel better!

  • I'm getting them frequently too and they're just getting stronger and stronger :( sometimes a bit painful, but it's more discomfort than pain usually; but there have been strong/painful enough ones to make me lose my breath and have to sit down/sit back and ride them out.

  • I'm 35 w 3 d and get them all the time, sometimes I think it's him moving but other times it's definitely BH. I've been getting them for weeks now, keep drinking lots of water and try walking around. I know it's uncomfortable but it will help!
  • I had them very frequently with my first. Some nights for several hours every few minutes, starting after 30 weeks. Didn't go into labor til a few days after my due date. Sadly, the BH don't always mean much. Some nights I was convinced I was in labor, but as everyone says when it's a real contraction you'll know! Hang in there - they are annoying!!!
  • I have then every 5-10 minutes for about half the day, everyday, since 26 weeks. My OB suggested Tylenol, lots of water, a warm bath, or changing positions. None of these has helped me, but maybe it'll help you!
  • I get them alot too. It seems as though, apart from staying well hydrated, bananas decreased their frequency for me. Could just be a coincidence though. But if nothing else you won't get leg cramps!
  • Wouldn't it be nice if it , for sure meant our labors would be quick! Like 5-6 hrs?
    One can only dream! :)
  • The last 3 days it's been nothing but cramps back ache and bad lower abdominal pain every time I stand up or walk! She is freaking trying to break out of belly! It also hurts when I change from side to side! Baths help a little. I wish all the pain meant I was about ready!
  • Had them so close together on Saturday that I went to L&D. Doctor said everything looks good though and cervix is still closed.
  • I feel like I am the point now that sometimes I can't even tell the difference between my BH and just baby moving...it hurts when he tries to stretch out in there now and my contractions are so inconsistent most of the time that I have to eat, drink, and lay down for a while and feel around my belly to tell if it's him pushing around all squished in there or BH... I will say, I almost went into preterm labor at 34 weeks and you WILL most DEFINITELY know what real contractions are.
  • I was having a really hard time telling if it was him pushing and stretching my uterus or if it was BHs! Im so thankful to know I'm not the only one. When it only lasted 1,5 hours and never came back I realized It wasn't real :)
  • I have been getting them too and they've become stronger and some painful. Had the breath taken out a few times now. The one place they don't bother me is when I'm in a pool. All my pain goes away and I have bad pressure in my crotch have for a couple months now cause of his position. And my hips are bad throw in those BH and damn I'm one uncomfy momma... Drinking water and go in a pool if you can :) hope something helps take then down for you.
