Baby nurse?

Anyone use a baby nurse? My husband thinks we should get one to help get baby on a regular sleep eating schedule (she is 2weeks old). I think she is supposed to be running the show right now. Any thoughts? If you used a baby nurse do u think it's worth it? Thanks ladies!

She's 2 weeks old. There is no schedule with a 2 week old. Eat and sleep on demand. You are right.

  • I agree with you. At this age, there is no forcing baby. That being said, my baby's schedule has been "upside down," with her most alert between 10 pm and 6 am, but I have been able to get her a little more on track by turning out the lights at night and keeping sound to a minimum. That might be a compromise you can reach with your hubby

  • Baby is on his/her own schedule at this point. My daughter is one month old and she runs the show.
  • Baby is in his or her own time at this point & once your baby is ready for a schedule, in a few months, you are very capable of getting her on that yourself. You know your baby better than anyone else.
  • Thanks ladies! :)
  • What is a baby nurse??
  • I loved my experience with my baby nurse. She helped so much and taught us a lot as first time parents. I would highly recommend it if you are and to. It's not worth it as much if you are ebf but I ended up pumping and she gave the bottles at night while I slept and woke me up at 4am to bf and pump

This! I would get a baby nurse to help you out with YOUR schedule but not expect the person to put your baby on a schedule.
  • Baby nurses are big in NYC. My friend had one for the first month. The baby nurse (they have to take become certified but not actually a RN) would stay overnight . She bright the baby to the mother for a feed, changed the diaper and git the baby back to sleep letting the mom rest. They help set a loose schedule.

  • Omg ... Really I never heard of this i would've loved this right about now. But I'm in Florida
  • Most of our friends had them and we were considering one but didn't really need it after all. They swear by them! My friends loved having them...More for helping you rest while they care for baby at night.

they have them all over! Just do a search for a night nurse or baby nurse and I'm sure you will come up with something!!
