A woman I work with was told it's a girl. They painted the nursery, bought all pink and then went back for a follow up US and it was a boy. They had to repaint, reregister, it was a lot.
I shared our story months ago but to recap quickly, initial u/s showed girl but our blood test confirmed boy. Then our u/s with the perinatalogist a few weeks later was a definite girl. Our drs office had never seen this happen before so they ran the blood test again and...it was in fact a girl.
Fast forward to my c-section. The dr holds up the baby and one of the nurses yells, "It's a boy!!" my SO and I just looked at each other like 'WTF?!?' And then my dr says to her (and us), "No, it's a girl." You could hear the annoyance in his voice as he responded to her. And she says, "Oh, haha, I couldn't really see from over here." We just shook our heads. Obviously, she didn't know we had gone through all of that previously.
So, that was the pretty little bow on our "is our baby a girl or boy??" story.
