Nightmares!!

Anyone else dreaming about going into labour! I go into labour trapped inside my flat alone with no help, pushing away like crazy. With no end to the labour. What happens to you in your dreams?,?

Re: Nightmares!!

  • I keep having a nightmare where my bump has vanished and I'm no longer pregnant, like I was imagining the whole thing! I wake up and have to feel for my bump... just in case #:-S

  • DH was talking to a friend about that silly show finding Bigfoot. That night I had a nightmare: no one would show me my baby because he looked liked Bigfoot!
I also had a dream I forgot to breastfeed and, I gave him formula instead. I woke up crying, saying to DH " I wanted to bf so bad!"
    They are so vivid!

I had the same dream! I was walking around and reached down to feel my bump and it was gone!
I also woke up feeling for it, just to make sure it was still there.. weird. Must be a common one.
  • Totally normal. I think the nightmares related to baby, labor, pregnancy, etc. are more common for FTM's; however the nightmares themselves are common for all pregnancies. Not saying that this is true for everyone, but for me this go around my nightmares have been un-baby related (but still very vivid) where as with my first I had horrible baby related nightmares.
  • I had a dream where my daughters head got stuck in my vagina lol and you could see and feel her head there and my partner was freaking out
  • I had a dream where I went to feed the baby but there was only a cabbage patch kid instead. I'm frantically searching around the room when dh walks in and asks where Matthew was. It took me a few seconds to realize we never discussed Matthew as a name and we don't even know what we're having, then I woke up.
  • I had an awful nightmare that my DH, brother and DD were drowning in a freezing river and it was all I could do to grab DD by the arm. My brother started floating away so there was nothing I could do, and DH was too far away for me to get to. When I recounted the dream to DH in the morning I felt so upset I started crying :(
Last night I dreamt something - can't remember what it was - but I woke up in tears. Yay pregnancy!
  • I haven't had very many pregnancy related dreams but wow, my dreams in general have been so vivid! I actually get a little confused sometimes about whether they actually happened! I know a lot of women have trouble sleeping during pregnancy, but I have actually never slept better in my whole life! I'm usually a total insomniac, but now it takes me 10 minutes to fall asleep and I sleep like the dead until my alarm goes off. I will really miss this part of being pregnant. I also drool all over my pillow now. So gross! My husband finds it hilarious and even took a picture. All of this is just to say, pregnancy sure is weird!
