The Insomnia Bellyache Club

Who else is a member?
I'm alternating between laying down and walking around the apartment. Every night it's a buildup of contractions from 8pm on, and then it fizzles out around 3am and I am disappointed but still awake. What's your story?

When I first lie down for bed my entire stomach just feels sore. Everything makes me uncomfy in bed. Then poof! the soreness just magically disappears after a few hours and all is well. Except for the every 2-3hr bathroom breaks. But now I'm wide awake :(

  • Up with an actual bellyache. Just as your post title describes.

Usually I'm up for anxiety, low cramping or hip pain. I'm ready for this baby so I can sleep at least more than an hr or two. My DH can tend to this baby while I finally get rest!!!!!!!

I bought a small shallow wedge pillow on amazon that seemed to work really well for shoving under belly while side sleeping. But of you're in the June Birth club, it's probably too late to consider investing in one at this point.
  • I have moved into the baby's room, onto the daybed for a change of scenery. I'm Netflixing The Gilmore Girls and have browsed on Etsy. I'll try closing my eyes again, but every time I do, it's cramp city! I hope baby is at least moving down after all these nights.
  • I read this a few hours ago not relating to the stomach ache.....now I do. I've had insomnia forever even before pregnancy. I'm feeling sympathy pains for you ladies so my stomach is hurting.
  • I took TWO napa today (at 2 and again at 6) to make up for the lack of sleep. Probably not great for tonight's sleep cycle but OH WELL. I'll take it where I can get it!
  • Snacking on some goldfish and praying that the heartburn doesn't rear up tonight. Zantac 150 really does wonders for the nighttime belly ache! :-)
  • Barely getting sleep is one thing, but no sleep and pain is just hell! Been dealing with this for 2 months and I think I've tried EVERYTHING to get some relief lol..... 1 week 2days to go

Ooh, ooh, pick me! Let's see, either restless legs and general discomfort, vomit-inducing heartburn, or a toddler who is refusing to sleep in his own bed. All made better by DH complaining about how tired he is in the morning.

    ETA: Spelling is hard.
  • Walked 3+ miles today. Took a bath before bed Nd washed hair etc. Hoping that helps get me better sleep on a regular schedule tonight.
We shall see.... Cue Jeopardy music.
  • Iampeach we must have the Same due date then. June 16th! Finally a due date twin!
  • Oh ... GOOD. My whole post just "didnt happen" (sarcasm). when i hit post it posted--but blank. Why ? WHY?

Sounds about right. Today is really not lookin good :/

Why did I just eat two bowls of Cheerios??? I'm due today and have decided that I just can't wait; I also don't want to be induced with this VBAC. So instead, I will just stay awake and think about labor - will it to be. After having an awful cold, I can finally sleep, but I guess I wasted that in a nap. (Thanks for letting me ramble.)
