What are you doing to feel fresh all day?

I swear I could shower 3 times a day, stay inside in the a/c all day, and I would still feel nasty. It doesn't help that I live in south Louisiana where it is miserably hot and humid. I literally feel like I haven't bathed in several days right after showering. What are you doing to feel fresh all day?

  • I'm gonna follow this cause I have the same issue damn south texas/ coastal bend! Lol it doesn't help when I'm at work all day taking care of the elderly who are always cold so it feels like I'm working with a heater on.

Ugh, that sucks :( I'm lucky since I'm a teacher so I have the summer off. I was also able to control the air in my classroom to an extent, my students always complained about how cold it was. I was always warm before getting pregnant so it's even worse now... I do have a 1 and 4 year old that want to play outside a lot and I feel guilty not taking them out more often :(

  • Lol same here in north Florida!!! I just learned to deal with it, last time and this time too.. If I can avoid outdoors, I do lol
  • Ugh!  I am so happy I live in MN right now! I wish I had advice but because I live so far north, I might not be able to offer much.  It definitely does get humid and hot here in summer though, so I'm sticking to AC.

  • Powder up! Sometimes I'll use summers eve wipes but be careful with them it may irritate your skin. They don't irritate my skin so I use them if I know I'll be sweating a lot that day.
  • Not that hot here north of the 49th parallel but the heat will come. Good advice so far. Also when showering use cooler water, mild soap (like dove) rince well and lessen the use of moisturizer, lotions and creams.
  • If you don't want to use deodorant on your thighs, monostat makes an anti chaffing gel that is wonderful. Also check by running supplies, they make anti chaffing sticks that roll on like deodorant. My husband us uses that when he wears his kilt!

  • We are in a drought, so one quick shower every two days for me...lol...but I live on the coast and it's still really cool (65 degrees right now) so it hasn't really posed a problem. Bike shorts under dresses to keep from chafing, husband's deodorant, and making sure my bras get washed enough (those are seriously nasty after one day)..and hoping no one gets too close!
  • I've just resigned myself that I feel icky all the time, and live near the gulf coast. I wake up sweating, go to bed sweating and even with shorts it gets swampy down there fast.

My favorite thing to do is sit underneath the vent with AC on, fan blowing on me, eating ice cream, and drinking ice water non-stop.

  • Ladies there's a product called box naturals wipes that are good.. Ph balanced too. No fragrances but are scented with pure essential oils (lavender and rose water) :) just sayin!
  • Yall are making me feel dirty. I only shower on gym days so maybe 3x a week? ::sniffs armpits::

  • I like to put my lotions in the fridge so when I put them on, I get a bit of cooling relief. Also, keeping aloe vera gel in the fridge or freezer (not for too long though!) is awesome if you get a bit of sun and want something to cool you off. I also like using cold face wipes or baby wipes just to quickly freshen up.
