Pee or leak?!

Sorry this is tad gross... But after I pee, I finish up, wash hands, walkway etc then I feel like I have a little leak afterwards. I run back and check - it's clear but I drink a lot of water. Is this pee or could it be slow amniotic fluid leaking?
(Can't believe I'm prob peeing myself!)

    Put on a pad or panty liner. If it's amniotic fluid, it will continue to leak. If it was urine, it will stop.

    Is it possible that it could leak over a few days? It's only the last few days it's been happening. Maybe my p floor has just gone!

    I wouldn't completely rule out that possibility, as I'm no expert, but it seems very unlikely that leakage of amniotic fluid would be so sporadic. I would say that if it's not continuing throughout the day, then odds are high that you're fine. If you're really worried though, I would call your doc.

    With my last baby I totally thought the same thing and assumed it was pee and when I went in for my appointment my dr noticed my stomach had actually shrunk from one week to the next so she walked me in for a quick look on the ultrasound and sure enough I was super low... She made me drive myself immediately to the hospital and she induced me right away. I would definitely go check and see!

    If you're concerned, I would call your OB or midwife to see what they think. It never hurts to ask, and they can more readily address your specific situation. :)

    I had the question for my doctor one day. She said to smell it. If it smells like urine, then it's urine. If it doesn't have a smell then it's amniotic fluid.

    I am also a first time mom and have experienced similiar symptoms to the original poster. Is it possible that it is just discharge? I haven't ever been concerned about it being a possible leak, but now I'm second guessing myself!

    With my first, I totally went to the hospital because I couldn't tell if my water broke or I peed myself. It was pee. I'm pretty sure it's usually pee (especially this late in the game) but it's always better safe than sorry!

    I would go with discharge. It increases in the 3rd timester. I seem to get it after peeing too, I think it's from pushing the pee out. Lol
    Definitely ask your OB just to be safe though.

    I have had that happen everytime I pee for quite a while now. I always just assumed it was discharge.
