Re: FFFC

  • In September my family is having a mini reunion (just my 2 older brothers, their families, my parents and us) in Utah where my oldest brother lives. Yesterday I foun out tht both my best friend who now lives in the Ukrain and another good friend who lives in Moscow will be near the area that same week and we are planning a get together.

My confession: I think I'm more excited about seeing my friends than I am about the family time. Both of my brothers have kind of been unreachable and distant the last few years, and while I love them to death, we're just not close anymore and talking with my friends will be more fun. Sad, but true.

  • We're out of town, and LO has been staying up like at least an hour past bedtime. By the time we finally get back to the condo for bed I forget to brush his teeth...3 nights in a row. He also had 2 "skip nights" in a row of no bath :-$

Oh man, I skip brushing LO's teeth more often than I should! Last night he was a screaming mess all through bath and I tried, but gave up way too easily. And then forgot to give him water after his bottle. Whoops.

I'm lucky to brush LOs teeth 3 times a week. I need something to make me remember!!!

I'm lucky to give LO more than one bath a week! I'm realizing we are going to have to change that now that it's summer and he is a toddler who is into everything--and especially dirt--so we are currently doing bath number three for the week. But this truly might be a record.

ETA: since this is FFFC, I should also fess up and say that this bath was motivated, in part, by the fact that I picked up a cheesy novel at the library that has me hooked and I can read it while I sit here with LO.
  • No worries @Sporty1216 we are lucky if DD gets 2 bathsa week.
My fffc... I have a crush on a coworker who is 12 years younger than me... And by crush I really mean I want to screw his brains out lol. I love DH, but I still have my little crushes...I can dream right?

  • It's not really my confession, just a piece of gossip about a friend of mine that I thought I'd post on the interwebs because rum and coke is delicious. (Happy Saturday!)

So DH hosts a cottage party around this time every year. A friend of mine comes to it every year. Has a boyfriend but doesn't bring him. Last year she sleeps with one if DH's friends even though she has a BF. Goes home and accepts proposal from her BF the same weekend. Flash forward to this weekend, she just got married and got back from her honeymoon a week or so ago. Comes to our cottage party without her H and spends the night in a tent with DH's friend again. (Not sure if there was sex involved)

I was really hoping being married would straighten her out. Oh well. I'm off to bed!
  • Oh wow! I guess some people don't "get" the whole sanctity of marriage thing! If you think you are going to screw around then don't get married! I know I can (and do) look but no touching!!!

  • That's really sad, I feel bad for her husband!!!
  • @BADASBKRCK and @sherks11, I totally agree, she shouldn't have gotten married. I feel bad for her husband too.

^^ do you know her husband? You should tell him. Imagine if everybody knew your husband was fooling around on you and never said a word. Even if he doesn't believe you, at least you tried to fill him in on the truth of his life.

@ksulli I don't know him well, so I'm not comfortable being the one to say anything. But I see what you mean, I would totally want to know. Her H is invited to these weekends but chooses not to come. She's been flirty with this friend of my DH's for years and they made out one time and she told her H (bf at the time) and he didn't really have much to say but chose to continue their relationship. Some of the guys this weekend had a chat with DH's friend about staying away from her.

    Edited for clarity
  • I would just tell her that if it happens again you will feel honorbound to notify her husband

  • In light of recent events in my life, I would tel her husband. He deserves to know.
  • And if she truly didn't want anyone to know, they would have gotten together privately not at a big outing with friends.
