Nipples (aka things I never thought I'd post about on the internet)

I've seen a lot of posts about actual breast size, but mine is simply about nipples. My breasts haven't grown very much, but my areolas are HUGE. I get why this happens physiologically, but I absolutely hate them. Is this happening to anyone else? And for mamas who have been pregnant before, do they shrink back ever? Or am I stuck with with these monstrosities for the rest of my life?

    Mine are huge also! And have gone from pink to a shade of dark pink blackish! I'd love to know as well, if my areoles will go back to normal.

    Mine got pretty huge with my pregnancy with DS and haven't changed. Not sure if they ever go back or not.

    With both of my DD's my nipples got huge and after I delived both time they went back to "normal". With this pregnancy they are huge again and I hate them also although I plan on breastfeeding this time so I feel like I may get stuck with them.

    I'd been assuming they'd go back to normal all this time! I'm not sure I'm ok with my new crazy nipples being a permanent situation o_0 !

    Mine went back after my first, but this time they are back with a vengeance! Those puppies are nasty!

    Mine also have also become huge and dark, but after my first they also went back to normal.

    Mine are huge too! Although they've lightened up some after getting super dark a couple of weeks ago which I thought was even weirder..

    Darker and bigger last pregnancy but not huge. THey did go back almost to normal by the time I got pregnant again, 9 months post partum. :P
    Not too crazy yet this time. A little bigger not a super dark yet.

    The color goes back after a while the size goes back for the most part but your breasts are not ever really the same after babies and breastfeeding

    This is my third and they have always gone back. All of my friends have gone back to normal too. My one friend is still breastfeeding her 1.5 year old and her nipples are already back to normal

    Am I the only one who likes large nipples? I think they're fun; something different to look at everyday.

    Mine went back to normal after my first, so I presume the same will happen this time around too.

    Yeah my nipples have been acting all kinds of crazy. I'm starting to call them nozzles because of how they've tripled in size at the nipple part (they're sticking out through my bra!!? I'm definitely not cold in this weather...or anything else for that matter!)

    No but seriously, they could start a nipple board and I feel like we wouldn't run out of things to talk about.

    Same. I'm naturally brown-ish anyway but they've definitely gotten darker and bigger. No lie I Google searched creams to lighten them, after breastfeeding of course. I don't wanna have pepperoni nips forever!

    @DeeGreer love "pepperoni nipples." While a bit of an exaggeration, I've been calling mine my baloney nipples :-) And they said we had to give up lunch meat during pregnancy!

    Sounds like we are all turning into "Boloney Barbs". JK! Mine have grown and am afraid they will more yet, YIKES! I can't go braless around the house without my hubby making some sort of comment (mostly typical man comments) but I'm so self conscious about them it suddenly bothers me. He likes, I don't. Plus they are so sensitive anout anything triggers them suckers to protrude even more. I didn't know that could even be possible

    Omg mine are like coke can bases! Lol I'm so happy I'm not alone mine have doubled in size it one of my least favorite symptoms thus far :(

    I looked ahead at the weekly fruit/veg baby size comparisons from TB, got to week 27 (rutabaga) and was like, "That's my boob!"

    I was hoping someone else would have mentioned my nipple issue, but no. Mine ARE bigger, but the issue is that... ugh... at the very tip, a strange 'crust' will form. After being in the shower for a bit I can pick it off, but it's not just on the top, more will come off/out with it... kinda like how a blackhead comes out of a pore. It doesn't hurt or bleed... everything just goes back to normal for about a week, then it comes back. So there you have it... You're welcome! Haha.

    Right there with you Bashley3 !! Was concerned at first when it happened to me but then found out it was just colostrum ! Very annoying and weird though since it seems too early for this!!

    Same Tabby and Bashley. But mine were pierced and I had to deal with it coming out the sides too for a while !
