I've seen a bunch of posts on pinterest to get free baby samples and also to put in promo code to get things such as car canopy or nursing pillow for free you just pay shipping. Has anyone used these sites at all Im a little hesitant.
Most of the are super cheap and don't work well. You still have to pay shipping. My mom sent me almost all the freebees last time and they were all crap.
I got a free car seat canopy and had to pay $15 for shipping! And I love it, it's awesome. I don't really like the canopy on my travel system so this works nicely
I got a belly band for free. It's terrible. I ended up having to buy a new one. Try finding some testimonials somewhere other than the original site to see if the stuff is even worth the shipping costs.
Me: 28 DBF: 30
BFP#1 07/10/14 EDD 3/14/15 Diagnosed with Blighted Ovum 08/18/14
I got nursing pads for free just pay S&H and ended up getting a discount to get more. Got the car seat cover, I love them! I continplated getting the nursing cover but never checked out, two days later I got a text from the company with lower shipping!!
I think that all of the stuff is pretty cheap and not worth the shipping. The car seat cover is pretty nice. The nursing cover I found to be too small and didn't adequately cover me. I would read around for more reviews.
I've been keeping track of all of my freebies on my personal baby blog (it's mostly for cataloging my musings of pregnancy for myself, but has other stuff), and i put links to everything on that blog, but i'll cross post some of them here without links (it's a lot of linking).
GIFT BAGS
I did all the free gift bags with registry: Target, BabiesRUs, BuyBuyBaby- you do have to pick them up in store. You can see what comes in these bags/boxes by youtubing (I saw videos for the 3 registry bags and the Walmart box)
-Babies R Us has the coolest bottle sample (mine was a munchkin latch), buybuybaby had the most samples (like 2 dozen samples) and a pacifier, and target had the best bag (it's cheap, but definitely re-useable and waterproof). Both Target and BabiesRUs had a pampers sample in a nice fabric pouch.
-Walmart does a subscription box for $5 shipping on each box (they'll send you a box for each trimester. I signed up during 2nd trimester this week)
-Motherhood maternity also has a welcome bag with purchase (they have a samples shelf and clearance items. I tried a mommy skincare kit and found a really cute hat and mittens in the clearance bin). It has different things depending on where and when you pick yours up.
PROMO CODE ITEMS/PAY S&H
From the promo code coupons you get in everything, I did the free "belly button band" (not worth it. I really love the Ingrid & Isabella everyday bella band if you are looking for a good one though) and one of the "sevenslings". The sling seems sturdy and the print is cute, but I can totally make more of them. I don't think shipping was bad on that one either though. Honeysuckle Moms and Andy Pandy do low cost samples ($5-$7)
MAILED BY REQUEST/WEBFORM
Proctor and gamble sends a safety latch kit (though the website hasn't been working this week, I did receive mine)
Premama sends vitamin drink samples
Earth Baby Diapers has a samples form on their website
Bounty (Mom365.com) does a mommy welcome pack when you enroll
Naty Ambassadors sends you samples with 3 emails (I used our family emails)
CLUBS
I enrolled in everything that has a babyclub newsletter of anykind. That includes similac, Enfamil, mygerber, pampers, huggies, luvs, MAMclub, nuk-usa, lasinoh, nuby, hylandsbaby, yestocarrots. The formula places ask if you plan to BF or Formula feed and formula feed they send a lot of samples from everything I've read (I chose BF as I have a soy allergy and problem with the idea of soy in formula in general). They all indicate that there's a kit to pick up in the hospital when your baby is born.
*These are all the items I've blogged. All of them are hyperlinked on the website (I was hoping they would copy and paste, but they didn't. Copy and paste formatting wasn't great either) https://littlerebelbase.blogspot.com/2015/06/baby-freebies.html

Clubs- There are a lot of mom clubs that may or may not send you stuff throughout your pregnancy. Most ask you if you're formula feeding or breastfeeding (we're the latter) or both, and tailor your club to that choice. Your login is almost always your email, and I picked a universal password for all baby stuff.
•Similac Strong Moms
•Pampers Rewards-keeps track of diapers you purchase for rewards
•MyGerber- there's a certificate for a hospital pack
•Enfamil Family Beginnings
•MAMClub
•NUK-USA

Promo Code/S&H Items:
Every bag you get will come with "coupon cards" for these, and you'll probably get several emails with "discount codes" for these as well. Generally, the shipping is exhorbitant for the item. (If any of these codes don't work, just google for one. There are hundreds of codes that all do the same thing for all the same products). BD4M or HIP2SAVE should work for all of them i think.Shipping is usually ~$13
•Baby Sling from 7Slings- SEVEN2- shipping was $12.99. I like this well enough, but would not buy another
•Nursing Cover from Udder Covers- BD4M
•Carseat Canopy-BD4M
•Nursing Pillow-BABIESONLINE
•Belly Button Band- BAND4FREE- shipping was $14.99. I'm not a fan. I haven't seen a single mom who is a fan. Do not bother with this one.
•5 pairs Baby Leggings-BD4M
•10 Pairs Washable Breast Pads- ATHRIFTYMOM1
I added photos and stumbled across a couple extra codes while sorting through my fliers.
-Use Code DestMat2014-4 at Avent.com/rewards for extra coupons
-I used my code: BRUeA2awm for a free enrollment in the www.medelabreastfeedingu.com online class which may or may not work for others
I did the car seat canopy, nursing cover, breast pads and 7sling with my first. I will be doing the car seat canopy and nursing cover again this pregnancy since I'm having a girl this time and can get different prints. I loved and used both. The buckle on my nursing cover gave out after awhile so I just used the code again to get another. The 7sling was awful IMO the fabric was cheap and the no stretch didn't allow for a very comfortable fit. I think I used it twice before throwing it away and switching to woven wraps and ring slings. I EBF so I gave away all the formula samples and won't do them this time.
About once a week, I email a big baby company and ask if they offer samples. Lasinoh said no, beech-nut hasn't replied, but BAMBO offered to send me a sample 24 hours after I emailed them. I always use the same template:
"Hello! We're expecting our (first!) new baby in October and are overwhelmed by all the choices for everything baby! Does (insert company name) offer samples of any of its products for comparison? Thanks so much!
So I found these last night... Haven't tried em out yet but here's a few Mommyandmenews.com Freeflys.com Gofreebies.com 2000freebies.com Justfreestuff.com Getitfree.com Mr.freestuff.com Freebirthdaytreats.com Freesamplemonkey.com
