Diaper Parties?!

What do y'all think about diaper parties? While the mom is out for her shower the dad invites his friends over for beer and they bring diapers! We're still a little hesitant on it..but seeing as how it'll be football season it's a great idea!

We are going to do a diaper party for my dh. We are thinking October ish, so then it will be perfect for a bonfire since we have an awesome pit in our yard. Getting a keg and a bunch of food and just having a fun get together/party. Also thinking of putting together a gift basket for who ever brings the most diapers. I want dh to be at our baby shower, but I do love the idea of having simultaneous parties

They are super common here in NL...just an excuse for the guys to get together and an awesome way to get a pile of diapers....its essentially the male baby shower haha. My husbands best friend is already planning one....all it usually is, is a bunch of guys having beer surrounded by diapers and having guy time lol
I told my BIL to remind all the guys to skip newborn diapers haha

We did a diaper party for my first kiddo and it was so much fun...and we didn't have to buy diapers for almost 6 months (no joke)!!! :-)

They are pretty common around here!! Same thought process here - watch some football and the guys can bring diapers!

Cool! I don't think we'll do it, just because I'm in the process of trying to convince my bf to do cloth diapers (maybe disposables at night) but then again, we're planning on doing a co-ed (that word seems weird here) shower (sis & mama throwing it for us)

I'm not doing one but one word of advice. I've gone to several and the parents-to-be spent more money on food and drinks than diapers received. If you're throwing it yourself, be careful about money being spent on the actual party.

I think I diaper party is a great idea! My BFF had one, then they had THREE showers, her son was almost a year old before she had to buy diapers! I really want to do one, but SO doesn't want any attention on him so I doubt we'll be having one.

@AudriannaMaria they were! She delivered 5 weeks early and still hadn't cleaned and organized baby's room, so while she was still in the hospital another friend and myself went to their house and got the room ready for her. We were there til after midnight getting it done!

I like the idea. I think I would rather hang out and watch football then go to my shower lol. Bf does not watch football so I would enjoy it more anyway. Maybe once I find out what my friend plans on doing for my shower I will consider it. He is hoping it's not Jack and Jill so maybe this can be his ticket out.
