Who is on bed rest?!

I just turned 35 weeks today! On Monday, I was admitted to the hospital straight from work due to high BP and leaking protein. They're monitoring the pre-eclampsia and hopefully I'll be able to go home on strict bed rest until 37 weeks.

Anyone have ideas for not going crazy on bed rest?! I've been ordering baby stuff online, talking to family, and wrote all my thank yous for the baby shower. But I need some strategies to help keep me sane! I'm a very active person normally so it's really hard to not get up and move around. Thanks!

  • Books, Scrapbooking, Netflix, lord of the rings and Harry Potter marathons :D catch up on things you can do in bed. I love to write so that is what I have been doing, I also have been getting me photography together. Print out activities and ideas for the baby :) like baby food if you plan on making your own food, research on the first year maybe? Games that you can play? There is a LOT of things you can do :D don't worry!

  • I am also in bed rest. Put on at 34, 35 weeks now. It is so boring and my hips freaking kill!!! I have PIH and they put me on labetelol to lower my BP. Right now looks like I'll be on if for 4 more weeks until my Induction at 39 weeks. Depending on how things go, might have to be induced sooner. I have been watching tons of Netflix, updating my registry, drawing, trying to figure out baby names. Ordering last minute things online-including like nursing bras tanks and a robe. I have plenty of gossip magazines, that been said though I'm so bored!!!! I don't know how I'm going to do four more weeks of this!! Good luck to you!

  • Not so much bed rest, but my doc pulled my from work last week at 32 weeks because of my hip and pelvis pain. Basically bed rest because I can't walk without crying. It's hard because we needed the extra few weeks of my income desperately, but such is life and roll with the punches!
  • I'm on bed rest for an irritable uterus. I also have chronic hypertension...which I'm taking labelatol for. I'm 33 weeks but I'll be induced around 37 weeks for my high blood pressure. My doctor is taking me off bedrest at 36 weeks. So far I've Been ordering stuff for the baby and watching Netflix and talking to friends and family.
