Help! Low grade fever!

I have been running a low grade temp for about 5 hours. It is 99.5 F. I took some Tylenol and it isn't coming down. Should I be concerned?

If you are really concerned I would call your OB. My medical degree from Google says under 101 is fine. ;)

  • That's not a bad fever. My doctor told me to go to the ER if it goes over 106, but that's it. I'd say if it goes over 100 and lasts a couple days, then go. But I'm not a doctor and that's just what I would do.

  • What pp said. We don't recognize a fever in my ICU until it hits 38.6C or 101.5F.

  • I agree with prior posters. Low grade fever is not a cause for concern but call your doc if you are worried.
  • Ok. Thanks! I am waiting for a call from the Dr office for results of my beta. I will probably ask them about it just to be safe.
  • Pregnancy raises your body temperature oddly enough.

Yup, that's true. I randomly checked my temp a couple days ago and it was 99.4.

  • My beta was 1190, more than double two days ago. So I am gonna relax and not worry. Thanks everyone!
  • I was just going to say that my pre ovulation temp is in the 97's but post ovulation/ it can be in the 99's. Are you feeling sick? I would ask your doctor about approved meds as well. I am not sure if Tylenol is good during pregnancy.

Tylenol is the only pain relief medication they advise you to take during pregnancy.
