Think I'm in labor...

I've been having what I think has been contractions for the past 2 hours anywhere from 3-6 min apart lasting only 30-35 seconds though. Hate to wake my husband if it's false and I'm just over reacting. Help???

I thought so too... Then I realized I wouldn't be posting online if it were urgent... so I googled random stuff. That's just me though. This is when you call your doctor or the nurses line at L&D

@tjking1721 please consult a medical professional. Then if you can feel free to look around the board. "No one can predict when labor will start" is a place to begin but there are some other threads you might find helpful. Feel free to post there you will find discussion already happening.

If you only think it's labor, it's not time to go to the hospital. The rule of thumb is 5 1 1- contractions 5 minutes apart that last 1 minute for 1 hour. You should not be able to walk or talk through your contractions. Sounds like you are in early labor and laborinf at home would probably be more comfortable. Good luck'

I got waffles every day at the hospital. For a 5k stay they were the best waffles on earth. Now I want them again.

I will say that none of my contractions with DS were longer than 45 sec and they were real. 30-40 sec was typical and they started about 2 min apart. But they were also completely incapacitating and I didn't need to ask if it was labor.

If I had followed the 5-1-1 rule, I would have had DS at home. But again, there was no question it was labor.

With DS contractions were regular and consistent but not really painful... They didn't start feeling painful until after I got to hospital so it's really hard to determine sometimes...

My husband just pissed me off. Does that mean I'm going into labor? And now I really want a freaking waffle! Thanks ladies. Haha.

Same here - they didn't get too intense for me until I was at 6-7cms...but I had known they were real by then because my back hurt like a b*tch and they had a set pattern to them.

Yeah, I'm trying to think where is the best place to get a waffle this time of day. Hmm, tricky. I don't want to make it myself, too much work, and I don't have any fruit for it, so it would hardly be worth it.

Omg, that is the best sounding thing I've heard of this whole pregnancy. Maybe it's because I usually don't like ice cream, but I have definitely been craving it lately.
