  Could be a day, could be 2 weeks. With my first I lost my mucus plug 3 weeks before going into labor.

  No one can tell you that. Mucus plugs can even grow back, so it really means nothing.

  I lost mine and still had to be induced a couple weeks later

  Same here. I lost mine everytime, was dilated, and still had to be induced

  I don't think mucus plugs mean anything.
