how long

How long till hcg is out of my system? I keep testing with pregnancy strip and it's still a very faint line, it'll be 2 weeks friday since my miscarriage. Also are ovulation strip affected by it being in your system? Should I even bother with them right now? Thanks for any input

Hi, and sorry for your loss. I was told that hcg levels often use 4-6 weeks to go down, but it also variate with how high your hcg levels was when you miscarried. I've lost 3 times and with the first loss at 5w I got a negative test a little over 2 weeks after. With my second I never check with HPT nor got any blood testing done. With my third,a mmc found out at 9w baby measured 6-7w, I got my hcg-levels checked after month (almost 5 weeks) and it came back as 2. Hopefully your body will soon be "back on track", but if you get more concerned later on I would call your doc and ask if it's possible to check your hcg-levels. Best wishes and good luck! ((Hugs))

Thanks, @MrsGargoyle. I was just wondering today if hcg fell by halves the same way it goes up.

RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.

whether you choose to use them is up to you. But yes, OPK test lines will go down as your HCG does. I used them to test it out this time (I'll add a pic to show you). Only thing is that normally if I am at 0 HCG or not about to ovulate there is no test line at all. The last test in the pic (bottom) was yesterday's test and today I am surging (getting ready to ovulate) so obviously my HCG was at 0 even though there was a faint line. Miscarriages often mean that nothing hormone-wise is going to be your norm for awhile so don't be shocked if the same happens to you. Then again you could be different. HTH. Sorry for your loss.

Today (1 month after my loss) I finally got a negative HPT. I've been testing every couple of days since my loss. I tried using OPK's this past month but every one of them came back positive. I also started my period on Tuesday right on schedule which was strangle because my levels were at 62.5 four days before I started.

@Bmnkids4, I had a period on 5/15 and I still have hcg. It's been 8 weeks since the d&c. It's almost gone, thank goodness. Down to 6 yesterday.
