trying so hard to be healthy but these cravings are so dangerous... Anyone else have this problem? I have my first appointment tomorrow so I'm interested to hear everything just getting nervous
It's not so much cravings for me it's the aversions. I can never think of anything I actually want to eat. Right now I'm barely surviving on plain rice cakes, bananas, French fries and plain pasta. Sometimes I throw a teaspoon of peanut butter in there but that's on a really good day. Rough times!
healthy eating can be for trimester 2! All I've been hungry for is dairy and crackers, so I've just made sure to pick organic and sugar free/whole grain versions to get through this. I did eat a mcdonald's cheeseburger and poutine though, which I'd never ever do, but when the thought of eating what I brought for lunch makes me want to hurl, I'll do what I need to to maintain eating (and oddly enough, I grossed myself out enough with the mcd's I dont think I'll be eating again!).
my husband thinks food aversions shouldn't happen this early - until he made chicken and I couldn't open the fridge for 3 days...
I'm usually a very healthy and "clean" eater, but recently all I want is fried chicken and French fries. Oh, and peanut butter sandwiches with berries. I have no appetite for anything else. It's awful! Maybe it's my body's way of telling me to relax. I think I'll use a bit more self control in the second trimester. Or at least try to! You are definitely not alone!
I've always been a healthy eater.. Up until week 5. I have been eating SO BAD lately. I can't even think about meat, vegetables, or salad now. Carbs, and more carbs is basically my current diet. I'm concerned and really hoping to go back to normal soon. The nausea is a constant struggle, so I figure eating what I can is better than not eating at all. I'm completely aware that this new diet isn't healthy for me, or the baby! I'm constantly snacking, I feel crazy.
It makes me feel better that I'm not alone in this! Anything healthy makes me want to throw up. I eat apples (sometimes) and try carrots and celery but really I just want pizza and carbs and thats the only thing I can think of that doesn't make me naseous. Even dairy is turning me off which I'm upset about because its something the baby should be getting. I go for my 8 week dating u/s monday so fingers crossed..
This is so me all I want is bread and salty things like peanut butter or chips, I normally eat quite healthy foods but I've had to throw out the cherries and blueberries I bought coz I just couldn't eat them. I wish I was actually throwing up but I just feel sick all day then wake up in the middle of the night feeling sick. It's like the worst hangover ever! Then i get upset I've out loads of weight on coz of all the carbs. It doesn't help when my hubby comments that my already big boobs now look massive which made me cry ha!
I'm usually a pretty healthy eater and enjoy cooking. Now I just don't have the energy to clean and prep veggies like I usually do. And all I want is soup (read TONS of sodium) and Mexican food--the spicier the better. I've never had heartburn before being pregnant. The taco/burrito/chilaquiles cravings are not helping!
No real cravings, most things make me feel sick. Eating heaps of carbs, toast, sandwiches, muesli bars, dry crackers, rice. I'm vomiting at least 6 times every morning and sometimes throughout the day. Nauseous 24/7.

I'm usually a healthy eater too but baby is making me want junk and I'm having aversions to the healthy stuff I usually eat. The other day I may or may not have had two doughnuts.....
