I have celiac disease so I can't eat donuts.

but really though, those twisty glazed ones are the bomb. When my coworkers bring in donuts, I smell those ones the hardest.

My favorite are these s'mores doughnuts from a local shop here... SO. GOOD.

I live in Chicago where we have dozens of gourmet donut shops with crazy (awesome) flavors. However, I can't seen to jump on that train. My go-to is a classic cake donut with chocolate frosting from my local bakery!

My favorite are the cake style donuts with frosting and sprinkles from a local place here in town. Chocolate ones are the best, although I did have a really good Red Velvet one with cream cheese frosting.

Definitely prefer the local shop over any chain. Old fashioned cake donut with chocolate frosting is my go-to but pumpkin spice in the fall! We will be celebrating on Sunday

Just a classic glazed donut is my go-to! If I'm really feeling wild, I will go for the maple glazed with bacon. YUM.

What a coincidence. I saw this thread as I was stuffing my face with a vanilla frosted doughnut .
Those aren't my favorite though.
My favorite is vanilla frosting filled from Dunkin donuts. Dunkin donuts are only good when immediately eaten. They go stale in a matter of minutes. That probably says something about the quality of the doughnut, but I don't care. I think they're wicked awesome.

We have a local Hispanic bakery that has baked pastries that are like doughnuts but not quite so sweet. They have a pecan/cream cheese one that's to die for. If we are talking traditional doughnuts the regular glazed are my favorite.

I just love doughnuts, BUT I missed this national doughnut day thing (I must live under a rock.) To make up for it, I will make (amazing) homemade pumpkin doughnuts in the morning!
