My baby girl is 2 weeks old, and since she was born she's been a smiler. I always thought babies only smiled when they were passing gas or pooping, but she smiles while dreaming... all the time!! It's the most awesome thing, I just would give anything to crawl into her little head and see what she's seeing. Anyone else have super happy dreamers?
Won't let me attach a file... gonna try and make the pic my profile pic.
Yup! My DD did it a lot in her sleep. She's 8 weeks now and doing them while awake a lot now too. She did one for DH today for the first time and that really melted him. He said to her "you're like a real little person now!"
My LO does it a lot! I try to get a pic of it, but by the time I get my phone ready, he's not smiling anymore. So now, I usually just watch him instead of missing it completely messing with my phone!
I know they say it's usually 6 weeks before you get a "real" smile, but I'm with you. This baby smiles in his sleep and just the other day I was running my fingers up his tummy to his cheek and he obviously liked it. He looked like he would break out into a big coo and had such a happy face!
Our LO has belly laughs in his sleep too. He gets this big grin on his face and shakes with laughter. It's so funny. Can't wait for him to do it while he's awake too.

Maybe she's dreaming about passing gas or pooping!
My baby smiles when she's half asleep, i have a video of it! And tons of pics cause i keep a camera at the ready when she falls asleep after feeding, that's when it happens the most!
Aria Smiles when she's awake and when she's sleeping. she also play "chats" when I talk to her, making lots of different noises like she's trying to respond. We're so smitten with our little love.
