now I'm concerned

I have had mild cramping the last week constantly. All day all night very rarely websites. A scale 1 to 10 it might be a one. I called the doctor for reassurance that this was normal and I shouldn't be concerned. Now, they want me to come in and get checked out. I wasn't concerned before I called but now I am. :-SS :-S

Re: now I'm concerned

  • I have too. They're probably just checking for your sake since you're concerned. Hopefully you'll get a nice peek at your Bub and some reassurance that all is well.

I guess personal reassurance is better, right?
  • Most likely they just want to reassure you. My office does the same thing. They'd rather see me than to have me continue to call or worry. Mild cramping is totally normal. I promise you that if they told you it was nothing you would still be worried about it.
  • Sure. I made them do an ultrasound at 6+3 just to satisfy my need to know all was going well. I have another next week and if I didn't I would probably find a way to get one lol.
  • I have some mild cramping every so often, people have told me it's normal.
  • My doctor told me the expect some cramping. I get a bad cramp if I sit up too fast or even get up from a chair too quickly. Your uterus is expanding and making room for baby so no need to worry!

Thanks ladies. It's just completely different from ds1. they did an ultrasound. But it's too early to see anything It ooks like A sac is forming but there's no yolk.otherwise everything looks like a normal pregnancy just really early. Doing some blood work checking my hormone levels today and Friday. Assuming everything goes forward like it's supposed to I might be moving to the February board.
  • I was cramping very painfully from 3wks to 5wks and have just started again (less painful) around the 8wk mark. I'm lucky cause my Mum has had nine so I call her before the doctors and she generally puts my mind at ease.
She said because your muscles are relaxing and expanding, plus your organs moving around, plus uterus expanding, it's very normal to feel some of that.
She says not to worry unless you start bleeding, and even then, don't worry too much unless the blood is bright red or really heavy.
    Hope that helped x
  • I had some continuous mild cramping at the end of my 7th week into the beginning of my 8th week. When I called the nurse at the OBGYN office, she said maybe I wasn't drinking enough water which could have been causing the cramping (dehydration? I don't remember exactly the correlation) and when I started forcing fluids after we hung up, the cramping went away by the end of the day. I hope this helps and the cramps subside.
  • My cramps started at 5 weeks and were constant for a week and a half. I am 10 weeks, and I still get them, but they are not as frequent. It is normal unless you experience extreme sharp pains or bleeding. Do not worry (: you're just making room for the peanut.
  • Uterus growing for baby! Expect it!
