anyone have any tips and tricks to keep a baby who doesn't quite like tummy time head round. She's never in the car seat or swing for more than an hour but her head still seems flat.
My LO's head was starting to flatten out on just one side from sleeping on my chest so my ped just suggested trying to make a conscious effort of holding him on the opposite side and turning his head the other way as much as possible.
While my little guy is swaddled I tend to tilt him to one side or the other just so that there's some equal sleeping time on all sides of his head .. I feel its ok for babies to sleep in different positions (just my opinion) although he mainly sleeps on his back he does take a nap here and there on his tummy (some babies sleep better like this - my mom & aunt who delivered me and has been a gynecologist for over 20 years tell me stories of how that's what doctors said was best back then)
I had something like this with my first born. It was Velcro and adjustable in size so I made it slightly too small and sort of put my son on enough of an angle that he would lay with his head to one side instead of the back. I would then just switch sides often enough to keep one side from getting flat. My doctor suggested it. Really helped.
