Hi ladies,
So here's my history:
I got pregnant at 17 months post-op for RNY Gastric Bypass. MoFst doctors recommend that you wait at least 18 months prior to surgery to get pregnant, mine recommending two years, just to be safe. However, the doctor said that my weight loss had leveled off and I should be safe to carry the pregnancy.
At 12 weeks, my LO was measuring 11 weeks 4 days.
At 18 weeks, he was measuring about 17 weeks.
At 23 weeks, he was in the 14th %tile and now at 27 weeks he is measuring in the 12th %tile... He was only about a pound and a quarter at yesterday's appointment, when average is about 2lbs.
I'm wondering if I got my last period wrong! I eat like crazy, take my vitamins and I've gained 17lbs...
The doctor is not concerned, yet, however now I am upped to Bi-weekly growth scans for the remainder of the pregnancy. Everything is precautionary measures at this point... Still a little scary, however!
Have any of you experienced this? I was 6lbs 5oz at birth and my brother was 6lbs 14oz. The women in my family just seem to not have large babies.
Any insight or experience would be helpful! I'm remaining positive now, because they did a Doppler on the umbilical cord and the doc said that's fine... He's made no mention of any other complications, aside from his size.
Also, has anyone picked a pediatrician?? They asked me at my appointment yesterday and I was taken aback! Didn't realize it was time for that yet!

Re: LO measuring small/Pediatrician
2- if they were really worried you'd have been on bi weekly before this point.
3- you're gaining, baby is growing and if they need to give you meds then they will. Chin up momma. It's hard, but you'll both be ok
