I'm living in 3rd world country, where my husband is from. His family is affluent and we live a pretty first world life, but surrounded by the 3rd world. Many of his aunts and cousins are against vaccinations and even forge medical records when they send their kids to the US for college. I'm trying to navigate the risks of whooping cough, but am unsure how. I'd prefer to ask all relatives to be vaccinated before meeting baby or wait till baby is vaccinated. I know this won't go over well, but we just had an adult cousin get chickenpox and I'm nervous. The family spends a lot of time together and this is the first great-grandchild.
Advice, thoughts?
Re: How to protect baby in a family that doesn't vaccinate - limit contact or just hand washing?
Nope.
Baby doesn't visit with unvaccinated people. My kid. My rules. They can be butthurt. My kid's life is worth more than their precious feelings.

most viruses are in fact spread through fomites or respiratory so hand washing would not eliminate contracting these viruses.
