Yay! First AF after D&E!

It's day 38 and I got AF!  I'm so excited to be on CD1 of a TTC cycle.  We're flying to Peru tonight for vacation, so maybe we'll get started there!
TTC#1 since Jan 2015
BFP 2/19/15  •  MMC found at 9 wks  •  D&E at 11 wks (age 36)
BFP 8/29/15  •  CP (age 37)
BFP 11/18/15  •  DD born at 41 weeks <3(age 37/38)

TTC#2 since May 2017
BFP 10/18/17  •  MMC found at 8 wks  •  Misoprostal at 10.5 wks (age 39)
BFP 2/16/18  •  CP (age 39)
BFP 4/13/18  •  CP (age 39)
BFP 5/07/18  •  MMC found at 10.5 wks  •  D&E at 11.5 wks  •  Testing showed it was a girl with Trisomy 22. (age 39/40)
9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)
RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.

BFP 5/11/19  •  Fraternal twins  •  MMC found at 10w5d (Baby A 6w, Baby B 10w)  •  Misoprostal at 11 weeks (age 41)

    OMG @CarrieandRoy we must have spent so much time together online that our cycles synced. I got mine today too. We also booked a trip to Poland (husband's home country) tonight for June. I am so incredibly happy for you.

    Yay! I think my AF is here! Tomorrow is the one month mark since the sad day. Glad my body is moving on. One more cycle to go till I can try again :)

    Did your first AFs last the same length as your usual lengths? 

    I thought it was about to stop at Day 7 as usual but it got really heavy all of a sudden yesterday. Today will be Day 9 - it's not light but it's enough for a few 'thorough' panty liners. The liquid is darker too.

    @kimey1, mine usually last about 4-5 days and the first one after my D&C lasted for 7, on day 5 it stopped all together then started right up the next day.  All I kept thinking was I know I really wanted you here AF, but you can go home now.

    Question....advise. I had my cycle Friday and ended on sat. (I have a 2-3 day cycle). It was 6 weeks post mc (natural mc...I was 12 weeks :-( ) I had my doc visit thursday, they day prior to my cycle, and she tested my blood because I was still testing pos. I found out today my HCG was 76 Thursday. My question is...can I even have a period when my hcg is 76 (doc said that was his for 6 weeks post mc) ????
    I thought u couldn't have a cycle till your hcg was back to 0.
    any thoughts????

    @jak1977 youre not the first person that wrote that they got their AF when their HCG wasnt at 0 yet. Guess that's why some people feel the 2nd cycle is back to normal?
    Mine is lasting longer than my usual Cycle (by 2 extra days so far) and its so odd. It looked like it was ending then it got heavier. I have a small pad on right now and boy am I glad.

    @bntfroggie My thoughts already! Thanks for sharing. How much longer did it actually last? And I thought for once I'd be on a trip without my period but no.......it's like it was about to end then it restarted! :S

    @kimey1 mine lasted 2 more days when it started up again.  It is funny you say that because my DH always makes me pack tampons when we go on vacation it is like clockwork that every time we go anywhere my period starts and I don't have stuff with me and we have to sneak out to a store to buy some.  I'm sorry AF wont leave you alone :-( FX it stops soon.

    @jak1977, I got my first post-d&c AF on 5/15 and my hcg was 7 yesterday. My AF was light, but lasted the usual number of days.

    Did you by any chance have a piece of "retained product" as they call it, that came out a while after you miscarried? I had something come out on 4/28 (d&c was 4/10). I read that if you retain a piece of placenta and it is still connected to the blood stream, it could still be producing hcg after the miscarriage. That could explain why it is taking the hcg so long to leave my system. (It doesn't explain why I was able to get a period, but I've read conflicting info on all sorts of stuff through this process, so I take definitive statements with a grain of salt now.)

    I was scanned 2 weeks after the mc and we didn't see anything left. Doc wants to do another blood test but not till monday. I took a hpt today and for the 1st time it was negative so I'm sure my levels are down now. I'm confused why I would get a period when my hcg was still increased though. My period was shorter and I was wondering why it was more painful then a tipical cycle. I also clotted a bit (sorry..tmi)
    honestly..my worry is that I might have gotten prego again and had another mc.
    I'm just feel like my life is on hold....and I'm waiting to get back to normal again.

    I hear you about feeling like your life is on hold. This limbo seems endless.
