TTC after 35

Intro - So I'm 35 today.

Hello everyone.
Today I turned 35.
I know that it's not a 'magic' number but BOY does it feel that way huh?

I've been lurking for a little while in search of happy stories.

DH and I are at the very beginning stages of this whole thing but it took a while for us to come to the idea that it's not something that 'just happens' for everyone.
That said, I'm no where near ready for charts and thermometers and so on, it all makes my eyes cross a little. In a few more months I'll head to the doctor.

In the mean time...

A friend of mine suggested I lurk around and interact a bit as I do not currently have an outlet for these kinds of discussions so here I am.
Thank you all for sharing your journey here so that people like me may feel less alone, and sometimes inspired.

There are a lot of acronyms and terms and names for things that get thrown about so I'll do my best to keep up.

  • Happy birthday! --I have to say, I love charting. It's the closest I can get to feeling like I have control over all this. And though I have a million questions that can't possibly be answered (the biggest one being "when will I get pregnant?"), taking my temp each morning gives me an answer to a little question every day. :)

  • Hi there, welcome and I wanted to say I'm 35 also and only been on here for a few weeks. We are also just now trying for #1 and all of the charting and temping overwhelms me also although I have this underlying feeling to just do it and not waste any time. If you ever want to chat more let me know, I feel like we have some things in common :)
