How do you relax?

For me it's a warm bath and a good book.  If I can get some chocolate and a glass of something nice to drink with it it's even better.  I've even started doing my own pregnancy sangria.  Grape juice + fruit.  Not quite the same, but I was never a huge wine fan to start.

I watch food network. Unfortunately, this backfires sometimes! I love cooking for my family, so it's nice to get ideas from.

I enjoy cooking shows, but prefer the competitions like MasterChef and Hell's Kitchen.  (Love me some Gordon Ramsay.)  My SO does all the cooking in the house.  He trained as a chef before becoming disabled.  He enjoys it and is usually better at it than I am.

  • Depends on the time of day. At night, I love cozying up on the couch with some hot tea and whatever book I'm reading at the time. If it's during the day and I like to lay down on the couch with some cold lemon water and watch some tv... maybe while snacking on a bowl of fruit.
  • Warm baths or movies with my husband and puppies lol they have had some good movies in the $5 at Walmart recently so we got a bunch and we just air pop some popcorn and add a little butter and some of the popcorn seasoning ( I made my own kettle corn and cinnamon sugar seasoning) and it's a nice evening.. I know you have a different home situation so maybe snuggling up with your daughter and watching some movies on Netflix with some popcorn would be a nice evening :) .. Just an idea :)

My little one loves Netflix.  My home situation hasn't really changed at this point.  He's either pretending stuff isn't happening or he's conceding my point, not sure which and not pushing it at this time since it keeps things from turning chaotic before I'm ready to leave.

  • I understand how that is.. That's how my step dad is only he loves to stir the pot and is very verbally abusive to everybody.. Except he won't talk to me anymore because I don't take his crap... I understand how it is and how it goes and my mom is moving in with us when this approval process goes through for this apartment.. She's doing the same thing so that when she moves in with us that there is no chaos.. I hope everything goes well for you and you will be in my thoughts :)

  • I really like her!  I'm planning on watching it tonight.  I hope she makes it far.  I wanted that coconut soup she made last week so bad.  lol.

My bf isn't like that, but life is just smoother right now without reintroducing this especially with DD at home for the summer.  No need for her to witness the kind of drama that's inevitable in even the most amicable of breakups.

Relaxing time for me used to be so much different before I had my son. Now it is a bubble bath and music on a cool evening when DH is available to watch our son. Or just hanging out with my family watching a movie and eating popcorn or, on a healthier evening, sliced of apples.
I do miss my social life that I had before my son came along, but that's a rather bitter rant.

I meant it the sense that he's condescending or acts like nothing is going on.. I should have mentioned that in my original statement.. And I understand :) I hope everything works out :)

Add some seltzer or club soda to your mock sangria - it adds some nice bubbles!

For me I find working out to be relaxing. When I can't make it to the gym, I do yoga at home. I also enjoy walking with my husband (we try to take a nightly walk, weather permitting). Also cooking is very relaxing for me. I love to cook/bake and I make all of our meals from scratch (save for one dinner as we go out to eat 1x/week). I can't wait until my CSA starts up and I get surprise fruits and vegetables each week!!
  • I love to read but right now I just don't have the concentration for it. DH and I will binge watch a show on Netflix or wait for out weekly treat when GoT is on. Hopefully I will get into a book again soon because I miss it!
  • I either read, play video games or color.  I just pretend I'm an adult.

  • Baths, knitting, and curling up with DH for the occasional movie. We actually watched all of the Mad Max videos on Amazon Prime before going to see the new one.
I love the idea of grape juice sangria with soda! Will definitely try that with my next bath. Maybe even tonight. :)

I loved her on the last episode!! Master chef is my favorite.

I also love reading, sewing, painting, and photography for stress relief.

Also, agree with others that relaxing/ stress relief looks totally different than it did before daughter. Today my "me time" was going to target for a wedding gift for a friend. Party animal right here!!
