Hi all Yesterday we got a BFN on our first IVF cycle. Obviously DH and I are devastated but we knew going into it that it wasn't a guaranteed positive. We went with IVF because DH has a low count, motility and morphology. We transferred 3 embryos on day 3 only one of those was 8 cell. So my question to you is, we have an appointment today with my RE and I'm trying to come up with a list of questions to ask him. Have any of you been through this and what would you ask? TIA!
I'm sorry @Cupcakegal930. I have no advice (and it's too late anyway), but I wanted to let you know I'm sorry your first IVF didn't work. Did you find anything out from your appt with the RE?

Just seeing your note now. I hope your appointment went well and you came away with a better understanding of how the cycle went and the recommended next steps. One thing i will say is don't hesitate to follow-up if you think of more questions after you have had time to process the appointment. I know i generate a lot more questions afterwards.
Sorry the first cycle didn't lead to a bfp. We are just starting our second cycle.
Me (42) w/ partner for 16+ years

Follistim + IUI (1x): BFN
IVF #1: 17 retrieved,15 fertilized, Day 3: 15, Day 5/6: 3 biopsied
Thank you! We had a good appointment yesterday. Obviously there are no answers to why it failed, he said everything looked good on paper throughout the cycle. He is changing a few things for the next cycle, starting with putting my DH on a new vitamin and putting me on DHEA and CQ10. My progesterone was low on my second visit last week so they started me on Crinone twice a day and this time they will have me on it twice a day from the start after retrieval and also on estrogen. We are waiting until July to let my body heal a little after this past month and than will go right back into it.
I'll be keeping an eye on your journey (in a non-stalker way). We are hoping for success in the next two IUIs (we have 6 covered by our insurance), but then will move to IVF if needed.
