Sooooo upon my suggestion, DH is reading The Expectant Father: Facts, Tips, and Advice for Dads to Be. I'm super excited that he's taking an interest! Something that came up in his reading was about having hair dyed or highlighted. The book suggests that women don't do it, and definitely not in the first trimester.
I have an appointment next Thursday (I'll be 5 weeks, 6 days) for a partial highlight. I'm leaning towards going to my appointment and asking my stylist to be careful not to get anything on my scalp- even if that means a bit of an ombré look. That's my compromise here! Is this something I should be more worried about?
I hate buying into the fear culture, and to me this seems a bit excessive. What are your thoughts?

But oh well, not going to risk it. Just really makes me wish I would have take care of it sooner!!
Edited bc there are plenty of totally safe ways I can have mommy time AND make my hair look good- highlights are just a bonus!
