So I am 21 weeks and we still have not put anything on Facebook about this pregnancy. (I have had 2 miscarriages since my daughter was born and didn't want people getting excited before I was able to.) But, It's getting to the point now, though, where if there are any pics posted of me, it will be obvious that I'm pregnant.
Anyone have any ideas on how to creatively post this "late" announcement?
Re: Ideas for late pregnancy reveal on Facebook?
I'm with this. A lot of people I'm friends with didn't post anything on FB until around this time, either. I still haven't done anything, and I'm on the fence. I might do something toward the end of this week, but probably just posting an ultrasound pic. To be perfectly honest, and I know this might come off rude (if it does, I'm sorry), I think most contrived FB pregnancy announcements are cheesy.
I'll be 21 weeks before we announce it. Granted I was almost 16 when I told my family.
They are pretty cheesy! But I'm ok with that! I think a lot of new social media traditions are cheesy or "look at me- look at me!!!!" But I've waited so long for this baby and been so happy/jealous/sad every time I saw an announcement and didn't get to post one of my own that there was no question about it for me. If I hadn't been so sick it would have been over the top contrived and cheesy! Maybe with like hired clowns and lion tamers! Who knows? But it's totally each to their own as far as social media announcements go. I think it's fine when people never announce at all or just post a simple, "hey! Guess what? We are pregnant
