Need bra help!

So before I was pregnant I was a 32DDD that was already a hard size to find bras in but now my bras are way to small and I don't know where to find a bra that will fit me... help!

Re: Need bra help!

  • Soma has some sizes that aren't found in most brands. Try them?
  • Loading the player...
  • Have you tried Lane Bryant? They have bras of all sizes..
  • Bravado brand has small band sizes and goes up to H/I.

  • I'll try those out thanks so much lady's.
  • I feel your pain! I have the same problem. I was a 32 DDDD before becoming pregnant. I have tried Soma, Victoria's Secret, regular department stores and maternity stores. I have had zero luck finding a bra that fits and is comfortable. All the sleeping/nursing/sports bras have to be 2XL to fit my breasts but I still can't wear them because they are way too loose around the ribs. Any other ideas?? Hate to have to spend so much on cup size bras that are impossible to find anyway especially when I'm still growing :/ any advice appreciated!!

The Bravado seems to be very comfortable, but I ordered the incorrect size.  I was stupid and ordered up a band size as the rib cage is still expanding, but they're a very smart company and so provide a band extender with the bra so I should have ordered my regular width.

Not sure you if use reddit, but check out the subreddit /r/abrathatfits

The ladies there are amazing and they have tons of resources on where to find comfortable bras for all sizes (that is, after you actually learn how to properly measure your bra size, which they explain as well)

ETA a link to the measurement guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/fit_guide
  • Bravado. I have multiples of the nursing sports bra. I wore it everyday until I stopped nursing, best bra ever.
  • Cake!! I went to Nordstom recently and found a couple that work. I was a 32DD and now am a 32H :(( But I do recommend them and they have a couple styles that don't look like old women with saggy boobs should be wearing them...

How about trying to find clothes now that don't make you look like you're wearing a moo moo (as my husband says) or a shirt that doubles as a tent?! Ahhhh.
  • Anita maternity is another great brand. If you plan to breastfeed it might be worth just getting nursing bras - I'm up about 1.5-2 cup sizes and will be going straight to nursing bras.
  • Thanks for the info. I just looked them up online and they don't have anything to fit my current size, 34 G. If my ribcage expands ( sthey seem like a great idea though!
  • I went to nordstrom and made an appointment with one of their consultants who works with pregnant/nursing moms. She was AMAZING! Got fitted a few times during my first pregnancy. She was also able to order a lot of things. They do sell larger sizes (I needed) just not always on display.

I seen nursing bras at our babies r us and they were in small, med, large, and Xlarge. I was wondering how the sizing went on these? I wear a DD, would it be an XL?

I would try them on.  If they're sports bra style it would probably depend on your band width as well as your cup size.

  • I'm in the UK but on a trip to New York last year I found myself in Victoria Secret... Repeatedly... Anyway, I knew we would be trying for a baby so had a look for something that would be comfy but still make me feel "nice". I ended up getting loads of the Bralette's! They're not underwired and are basically pretty crop tops. I go up to a 32f in USA size when pregnant (just used a Google converter to check this lol) and the medium is nice and comfy for me at the moment. I love them as they give me the shape and support but don't feel as rigid as a bra! Definitely recommend them
  • I'm jealous...I'm a 36DD not pregnant and I can't wear 90% of bras because I'm allergic to the padding in most bras...VS is a big no (cracked peeling boobs are no fun) and I've tried almost every other brand. I have to buy non padded old lady looking bras and add liners. All of my nursing bras are non padded sports. .my poor girls sag lol. Any good non padded nursing or reg bras?
  • I like Nordstrom for bigger bras. None of the local stores have a good selection so I went online to Nordstrom. Free shipping and free returns. I ordered about 10 bras in a couple different sizes and tried them all on and kept the 3 I liked the best. I know at least one of the bras were Cake brand...
