What's normal for me may not be normal for you. Everyone will be different. Your doctor will be able to give you a more accurate "normal" for you.

What did your doctor tell you? We cannot tell you what is "normal weight" gain for you.

  • There is no such thing as "normal." How many posts on this topic must there be before people stop posting about it again and again? Everyone is different.

Lol @cllgarrison I'm sensing you understand my frustration, eh?

  • You don't need to be rude.
  • You don't need to be rude.

I don't think they are meaning to be rude. I think that the longer your a member the more you realize how aggravating it is to see the same post over & over. Also everyone's body is different & responds differently to pregnacy. So the only one who will really know if your gaining weight to fast would be between you and your doctor.

I guess this was to me??? It's hard to say considering you failed to use the quote button. If that's all you have to say to what I asked...ok. I'll take it.

The search bar will give you TONS of posts that go over this exact same question. You're welcome.

Actually I was talking to @cllgarrison.
  • I know it takes times getting used to the boards here. As I see you only joined a couple of days ago. But there is a search bar to search through the discussions and like PP have said, there are TONS of weight gain posts that may be able to help you. I think PP's weren't being rude at all actually. (And ill admit sometimes the ladies can be quite blunt...I promise, you'll learn to appreciate the honesty lol), they were just trying to help you out. It is a little frustrating because a lot of women on here don't like the weight gain threads because it can become almost like a like a "skinny pregnant competition". comparing weight gain is not a great idea because it varies so differently from person to person. So if someone has gained 50 or 10, we don't know the back history of the person. My favorite line is, if your doctor has shown no signs of concern, then you should not be concerned.

I'm not trying to "compete" with anyone. Geesh.
It was a simple question. First pregnancy, so as you can imagine, I have a lot of questions. Newer to this page and still learning how to use it. So sorry I asked the same question that's obviously a touchy subject.

And my doctor didn't tell me anything.

Okay. You unfortunately misunderstood what I was saying. I didn't say that you were. If you read my reply again, I was saying that sometimes the weight gain posts turn into that. It's my turn to say geesh now, because I really took time out to reply to your post to try to help you out a little bit with how to board works, that's all.
Always hold on to hope ❤

This is why so many people voted @Marissalynn0620 as one of their bump crushes. Perfectly explained, straight to the point, and very well said. Thanks for always helping out the new girls :)
Aw, I am blushing! :) Thank you so much :\">

  • Listen, you've gained an average of 3.5 pounds a month. Did you think that's bad?!? Even as a FTM I wouldn't be questioning that.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

  • Goodness! We are moms not teenagers. Stop with the drama! If you didn't like the post then don't click on it and read it? Don't really get how this can be annoying to anyone... It's your option to read the post!!!!! No need to attack her over & over!

    Thank you!!!
  • It's our option to respond... Don't think she was attacked either. If she feels that way, which I think she does because she dirty deleted her response, then I think she's on the sensitive side. You can't just jump on a board and assume all the internet strangers are here to make you feel amazing. People on this board are really supportive and I think everyone explained the annoyance. Most people say "my bad, should have used the search button" and not resort to name calling, that is immature.

Actually I did not delete my comment. I'm not Coward. It disappeared. And I actually can do whatever the heck I want. I wasn't asking for people to make me feel "great" but I also wasn't looking for rude annoyed responses. There's no need for that. Yes, I must be incredibly sensitive. So sorry.

This ×100 .. my response was extremely nice in letting you know why they may have come off "rude to you" however telling us ALL to shut up & deleting your extremely RUDE comment will definitely not get people blowing rainbows & glitter up your a$$.. just sayin.. Some of us were actually being nice & helpful with our responses.

Might have used the "search" button if I could find it, but it isn't snowing up on my phone.

You forgot to add she told us to *shut up* and the comment somehow disappeared.
