baby's second 5k

I did a night 5k last night started at 9:35, way past my bra off contacts out bed time. I did OK I had to walk a bit because I haven't been training like I did llast year. Also started having a little stomach pain so I walked at that point. Anyway I had a lot of fun and am ready to sign up for more with Dr ok.

Way to go! I've never heard of night marathons before, but I am super impressed that you started one after your normal pregnancy bedtime, and were able to finish!

  • Way to go.  I'm super impressed.  I've run a 5k before, but I can't imagine doing one now.

  • Congrats - quite impressive.  I feel like I run a 5k every time I climb a flight of stairs lately.
  • That's so awesome-I am very envious! I had planned on running a 5k next week, but I had to (unfortunately) stop running in mid-April because I was finding myself too short of breath!  Way to go!!

  • I'm excited and terrified for the one I'm doing in July! Excited cause it's awesome fun, terrified cause I've never done one while preggo!

I wish I could find a 5k around where I live. I haven't seen anythingggg. I've been able to keep up on my running with doing 4-5 miles every other day. Was hoping training for that would keep me at it. Congratulations! How fun!!!
  • Congrats! I did a 5k last month but had some issues with losing feeling in my feet in the 3rd mile (so had to walk). I am planning on doing another on the 4th of July and hoping I don't have the same issue.
  • That's awesome! I'm such a lazy bum right now, so I don't know how you did it. Lol

  • @Nikki1223 Try going to a specialist running store that does gait analysis. The numbness in your feet might be an easy fix by just changing the lacing pattern of your sneakers and they ought to be able to help you out.
  • Thanks @FilbertTree I will definitely try that.
