Sex?

Are you having sex? I have an irrational fear that it will cause miscarriage. My best friend recently miscarried and when she called her doctor the first thing they asked her was if she had had sex, so now that is in my head...

Re: Sex?

  • Do it!!!!! As much as you can before you don't feel like it!

Unless your doc advises not to, but generally there isn't a concern in my understanding.

  • There is no real need for concern, but do what feels comfortable for you. You might spot after which is normal.
  • I haven't stopped. As long as your doctor doesn't advise pelvic rest then you should be okay.

If you can and want to I would. I have been on pelvic rest three times before and so I will wait until I see my doc and have an u/s. If you aren't at risk though I would try not to worry and enjoy your time with your partner.

Yeah I'd kind of like to wait to see my doctor (just in case) but that isn't for weeks!

I'm still doing it. Like @AggieKim said, do it now before you no longer feel like it!
  • Yep. By the end of third tri you'll be finding ways to convince DH to do it with you to make baby come only...

Literally have not. Not have I wanted to. Lol, and now hearing about the scariness off it, I definitely will not.

  • One of the reasons they ask the question is because it isn't uncommon to have some spotting after sex so they are trying to determine to cause of the bleeding. Sex will not cause a miscarriage is most cases. Ask your dr if you are concerned.
