Who else is having this problem? My little guy is greeting me with intense and painful kicks right where it hurts and I may lose my mind if he doesn't flip soon!!!

  • I wish I could say it gets better... Hopefully your LO flips. My DD was footling breech and pretty much in the same position from 28 weeks right up till her due date when I had a c-section. Turns out she had a cord around her neck that was likely preventing her from being able to rotate like she needed to. Those cervix/bladder/vagina kicks hurt! This one I'm just over 30 weeks and he/she flipped for a few days this past week, but I am thinking he/she may have flipped back last night cause I'm all of a sudden getting a lot more kicks (or maybe still punches though I doubt it...) down low. It was a LOT less painful getting kicked in the ribs for those few blissful days. Also had a lot fewer braxton hicks contractions (I get them frequently when I need to pee so the added kicks to my bladder I don't think helped).

I hope your LO (and mine!) turns soon...
  • I put ice packs up by my ribs and drank very cold drinks, also played music down low with my feet raised above my head against a wall and he turned ! Finally no more bladder kicks! But his head bouncing on my bladder isn't any better either haha. He plays footsies in my ribs now
  • My son just flipped a few days ago right at the 34 week mark. My dr said there is an old wives tale saying that music with string instruments like violin encourage the baby to go head down because they like the vibrations or something like that. He did indeed flip while his sister was playing her violin in front of me, lol. Could be coincidence, but who knows.
