Re: MANIC MONDAY!!!!!

  • This week is either going to be great or painful to get through. I had my beta this morning, I'm not feeling positive about it since I had some slight bleeding this morning. But fingers are still crossed. Other than waiting for the phone call, it's a normal work week for me.

@hooligans4 are you still in shock over your BFP?? I would be running to the dr for a beta!! Sticky vibes!

  • @Cupcakegal930 I'm in a daze about it. I think will call doctor today. The only thing that is making me hesitate to do that is my neighbor works there and she has a big mouth. I really don't want her to know before my husband. So I may wait and just make an apt to see my doc in two weeks.

  • I'm set to O on the 4th (if my period tracking app is accurate) so this was supposed to be a big week for BDing but now my hubby is pretty sick, had to go to urgent care and I doubt he'll be wanting to all week. :/ so one more month to try again I guess. That having been said, As frustrating as it is, I think I'll take this time to lose some weight. I'm not incredibly overweight but enough that I could stand to lose about 20, and would like to before getting pregnant since I'm short to begin with and feel like I'll be huge when I'm pregnant.

So plan this week is gym, jog, and salads :)

Also have a new puppy so that's keeping me busy :)

  • I'm gearing up for a busy work week, and the chorus I sing in has our concerts this weekend, so busy nights, also!

I'm also 13dpo, and tomorrow I test officially, but I've burned through a bunch of early results tests, and I'm feeling AF's imminent arrival, that I've adjusted to this BFN.  Which means it's time to get geared up for IUI #3.  Third verse, same as the first...
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • This week is all about work. 5dop and trying not to obsess so I volunteered for a ton of overtime. DH and I have a overnight getaway planned for this weekend, so I can relax then and poas then. :)

  • I finally have some down time after the big show this past weekend. I am beyond exhausted. I'm also finishing a weird AF cycle. Two days of a LOT of bleeding with excruciating pain (even with painkillers) and then just a bit of spotting for the next 3 days (usually lasts 4-5 days with heavy/medium bleeding). I honestly feel like something had started to develop as it was WAY more than a normal period, but all the tests showed negative so who knows? Either way, I feel beat all around and just feel like taking a break for awhile...I'm sure I'll bounce back after I catch up on sleep. I have this entire week off so am happy to have some down time to just be.

  • @jilligan14 - you may be right.  With my chemical pregnancy, I tested negative on HPTs (albeit I tested early and then didn't test again), but my beta was actually NOT zero.  It was low, but not zero.  My period that month was odd too.

  • My week is looking pretty nice!  Since I put in 60 hours last week, I only need to work 20 this week.  Yippee!!!  I'm getting together with my sister, probably on Wednesday and then seeing a friend I haven't seen in a few years (she moved away) on Friday!! So, that's exciting.

  • @emsmama15 - Yeah, I kind of wish I could've had a beta to confirm if anything had started because it really seemed like that was the case but my obgyn was out of town and all I could go by were the negative HPTs (and I took them multiple times). Since I've had early losses before, I know how they feel and this definitely seemed more along those lines than just a typical AF cycle. If that was the case, it's both good and bad - good that the egg met the sperm and started to implant. Bad that it didn't stick. Gives me some hope but also don't know what to do differently...Just hoping my body is on a roll and I have another super ovulation again this cycle :-)

    Have a great week everyone!

  • @jilligan14 - my RE said a CP is highly predictive of successful future pregnancy.  I'm holding onto that, even though mine was a few months ago.  :)  I hope it means you're on the right track!!

  • I'm getting blood drawn today because I think I had a false positive test on Sunday. (First TTC cycle post-d&c after a light AF) It was only CD17, but I took it because I had a peak reading on opk in what appears to be my luteal phase according to my bbt chart. I had 7 high readings before the peak and thought I had ovulated on CD10 as usual and just missed the peak. I read that opks will read hcg like lh, and I thought that might explain the late peak so I took a test.

The nurse at my dr's office said it is very unlikely that I conceived, so I will get blood drawn today and again in 48 hrs. ...I took another test this morning and it has faded to a squinter. Now I have the same weird, fuzzy headache I got the day I found out I was going to miscarry. I tried so hard not to get my hopes up, but this still hurts.

  • Monday was so maniac i missed the check in! This is a crazy week for us at work. Summer is the busiest time and to day was the real start of it. Will continue to be busy all week. Although i am going to work at home tomorrow and get a break from the office craziest so i can focus on reviewing a few papers and reports. So looking forward to that 'break'.

Nothing exciting on the ttc front -- this will be final week on the ocp's leading into our ivf cycle. i do have a bit to get prepped for our start next week (figure out med order etc).

  • Hello all. Sorry to be a day late. DH and I were celebrating his birthday with a little getaway and then some fun at the Phillies ALS Phestival.

This week at work is getting me down. I'm struggling with some stuff here. At home, my DD is sick and has been down with her dad so, that's been weighing on me. At least I get her home tonight. So nerve wracking.

I'm feeling kind of blah today but I'm hoping it's just readjusting to hormones after having the mirena removed last week.

    Hope everyone is doing well!
  • @CarrieandRoy - I hope you get good news from the blood test. Fingers crossed for you!!

  • My hcg was 7, so I'm guessing it was just leftover. I got the results online, so I'm waiting to hear from the nurse if she wants me to retest in 48 hours.

I can't believe I still have hcg after a period. Oh well. Hopefully the next cycle will actually give me a chance.
