I haven't delivered yet, I'm 40 + 3. For weeks now I've had so much pressure on my pelvic area - vagina it's unbearable. Past couple nights if I move right or cough, it pops down there. Omg. I'm not sure what to google or if it will even help. But I can't get out of bed without a severely painful struggle. Have to sit on a pillow. Ice pack. Did anyone else have this problem. Hurts to walk, sit; everything. I feel like a puss cause this is just the beginning but it's wearing me down. Any suggestions?
Re: Pelvic area.
I was told it's just baby's head getting into place. I went in at 3 am with unbearable pain down below they told me I was only 1cm and not to worry and wasn't sign of labour.
I got sent hope at 6am I got home and just laid on the sofa drifting in and out or sleep. Coz was so tired because hadn't slept for 3 nights. The pains died down.
Then about 8am they started again but not as painful. My mum was with me at the time and said get up and move she said I'll be having this baby today. So got up and did the house work.. By 10am the pains were getting more painful it's wasnt contractions it was just like sharp pains down below and I just wanted to go to the loo.. For a poo!
Then at 12am I couldn't even walk with them. Still no contractions or tummy tighting.
I decided I wasnt going to go back to the hospital just for them to send me back.
Was told you can be 1cm for weeks and not to return unless my waters broke or I had serve tummy tighting every 3 mins
So went for a bath what helped a bit by 1pm I said to mum I wanted to push like push push.
So rushed to hospital. Had dilated to 8cm and waters were bolging.
They check for contractions but only mild one were showing. Apaz wasn't in labour!
I couldn't stand or walk or sit.
I was screaming at them telling them that baby was coming.
I was told not to push because was fully dilated and weren't having contractions.
At 2:00 midwifes left the room to get a doctor to talk to me. It was just me and my mum and I just remember saying it's time I'm going to push. 2:07pm he was here mum had to catch him. Coz no midwifes were in the room with us only come back when they hear a baby cry.
And still had a moan at me because I was told not to push.
Baby was born 38weeks 6lb 6oz
All I can say is I know the pain your in but get up and move.. Housework or even walk.
But try rest inbetween aswel.
A hard lower back rub from someone as wel and Rock with it to it calmed the pain a bit.
Eat too. I hadn't eaten for days and after labour I just collapsed for exhaustion.
It's not amazing advise but it's what helped me.
Your close I think from going from my experience. Good luck.
