Are you talking by blood test or ultrasound pic? Blood test you can find out really early, US they might have a guess but accuracy increases as the weeks go by
I received a call last week with my results of the NT scan and they asked me if I wanted to know the sex. I was 12 weeks when I went to that appointment.
I found out at 12 weeks through a genetic test, but one of my best girlfriends found out at 16 weeks she was having a girl. I think the quality of the US equipment and the experience of the administrator make a difference.
@angelgreen2013 Hi there. As many of the ladies have said, it is possible to find out the sex of your child as early as 16 weeks. Most doctors wait a little while longer to be sure.
We're having a little issue on this board of people repeatedly posting the same questions that have been asked and answered previously. For instance, this question has been asked and answered approximately 20 times in the past week. I would encourage you to use the search function at the top and bottom of the page to find answers to questions before posting a new topic about something. It will ensure a better reaction from the community and you'll receive better information as well.
I found out the sex at 12 weeks from chromosomal testing. However, when I had a 16-week ultrasound last week, the tech (aware that we already knew) said "oh yeah, you can see that it's a little girl!" and pointed out what she saw. She acted like it was really clear and obvious, which surprised me since I thought 16 weeks was early.
Yes you can find out but you may not have an insured ultra sound then. I think the standard is for the 20 wk anatomy scan. 16 wk there is prob a slight chance it could be wrong as well, and just depends if the baby is positioned to be able to see. You can do a blood test even earlier, again it may not be covered by insurance but wouldn't think for a blood test it would be that much compared to an US.

Thank goodness @vexymommy replied with this. For a moment I was beginning to think I had left N15 and had entered
