Stupid answering service!!!!

I had to call my OB bc I've been cramping since Friday. They're not braxton hicks. I've had a few of those and can tell the difference. I have an appointment for Wednesday, but I can't wait that long and I don't want to go to l&d.
Well the woman at the answering service had it allllll wrong. She asked me for my message twice and then told my dr I was bleeding and in labor. I told her that I was not bleeding but bc of my recent pre-e diagnosis, I was told to call with any cramping bc it could mean my liver and kidneys are swelling. He called me back and asked why I hadn't gone to the hospital yet if I think I'm in labor. Ughhhh so frustrated. I haven't called all weekend bc I hate the answering service. The woman is always rude. Anyways, I'm set to see him at 9 in the morning.
I just needed to vent.

    I can understand the frustration! I've been there trying to describe symptoms and what's going on to a third party person. I'm glad you did get in soon! Hope it's nothing serious

    @Miz_Liz I told him! Despite my pain, I was able to laugh and told him she had asked twice if I was bleeding and I told her no. It almost made me feel like I had wasted his time bc my real problem obviously didn't involve blood and giving birth.

    You can always ask to speak with a supervisor. The operators are always hurried and sometimes don't listen. Even though you told the doctor, I'd still bring it up to the office manager. They work more directly with the answering service than the doctors.
