My sister recently bought me some Pregnancy Tea. With everything during this pregnancy, I researched it, lol. I'm going to ask my OB at my next appointment, but I was wondering if anyone on here has tried it? Thanks!
It's delicious. Really. I add lemon and honey. They even make Mothers Milk tea.
It just says it "supports pregnancy". This is the one I drink. My husband found it. It doesn't have the "bad stuff" like nettle leaf (right?) that isn't okay during pregnancy. I really really like it. My doctor says it's fine and I drink it every day.
Do you have a different link to it? This kind lists both nettles and raspberry leaf, two of the ingredients said to be most helpful at the end of pregnancy to help with labor...
Yes, definitely check the ingredients with your OB though because I don't know if the brand that you're talking about is the same thing as other "pregnancy tea" I have seen being sold as an herbal supplement to getting pregnant. Does it contain CoQ10 which is a no-no during pregnancy?
I may have been thinking chamomile not nettle leaf, because you're right, it is in this one. I cleared this specific one with my doctor before I fell in love with it. I suppose I'm not a doctor so I can't really say. Just speaking from experience.
No worries, I had a breakdown at whole foods the other day because I couldn't find an herbal tea that was "proven" to be ok (thanks to conflicting Google info) I guess the issue is there really isn't a ton of evidence with a lot of herbs so checking with the real doc is the smartest thing.
Thanks, all. The link shared above is for the tea i have. It does have raspberry and nettle, so I haven't tried it yet. Checking with the doc today! However, it says it's pregnancy safe.. They claim it helps "tone the uterus and prepare the womb" (@ssinnwell) I did not see CoQ10 on the Ingred list @BostonBaby1 My sister said she loved the taste and it helped her feel better- especially in the second and third trimesters @AudriannaMaria Will report back what I hear from the doctor!!
I've tried the pregnancy tea, it has a mild mint-like flavor. But I haven't tried it with my morning sickness. The red raspberry (said to help with uterine tone) is very mild flavored. I would almost say it doesn't have a flavor at all, though that was before I got pregnant (it's good for cramps).
Re: Pregnancy Tea
What are the supposed benefits?

Hopefully it is the right one and it will work!

To the OP, what kind did you get?
@rzaremba sorry for the confusion!
This is an article I quickly googled. Maybe it would be helpful. It lists a few brands of pregnancy teas at the bottle that are concidered safe.
Doc gave the Thumbs up!
